This watch is in very nice condition but we do note some wear to the shoulders and bezel. This 1990 model is in very good condition and comes with original, embroidered Rolex box (the cushion inside is a generic replacement), Datejust booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £19,650! We would generally recommend that any Rolex with a gold Jubilee bracelet should be considered a dress watch, not intended for hard wear.

The Jubilee was always an attractive “dress” bracelet on ladies' models. This one shows moderate signs of wear, reflected in the price. Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 T with black “SWISS MADE” dial and so-called “Pepsi” red / blue bezel insert on Oysterlock 78790A bracelet. This lovely 3185-calibre model has original boxes, GMT-Master booklet, both swing-tags*, UK papers from David M. Robinson in Liverpool dated February 2006 and a Rolex UK service card dated May 2015. It is in superb condition! The market for NEW steel GMT-Masters has now gone mad but these slightly slimmer, previous-generation models have in the last decade enjoyed a very strong market that has been all their own. This late 1980s model is in very good condition for its age but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. It comes with our own presentation box, warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This model correctly has the 3035 calibre version of the “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, where the user turns the crown backwards in its mid-position to advance the date. It left Geneva originally with a fluted bezel, but at some point this has been swapped with a “bark finish” bezel, more commonly seen on full 18ct gold models. In very attractive condition, but we do note minor signs of ageing to the dial and moderate wear to the crown, main case and bracelet. £2,599 Stock number: 50-45-034Gent’s stainless steel 41mm Omega Seamaster Professional 300M co-axial automatic bracelet watch, model 212.30.41.20.01.003 with black dial and ceramic bezel insert. This beautiful example comes with impressive wood-effect box, instruction book, numbered swing-tag, matching Omega cards from Goldsmiths in Liverpool dated January 2019 and the Omega specification sheet. It is in excellent condition, having spent much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes. The lovely box still comes with its white outer carton, but the fold-down flap to the latter has (as often) suffered from wear and is held in place with sticky tape.

The bicolour 62523 reference Jubilee bracelets that were originally fitted on these models often suffered if worn hard, and this watch’s has been replaced with a NEW, genuine, all-steel Rolex Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Often a steel bracelet is retro-fitted because the cost of replacing the old, bicolour one like-for-like is very expensive. The diamond dial is correct for the model but appears to be from a slightly earlier period. It is another, later addition to this watch. Priced to reflect its altered specification, this is an eye-catching Datejust coming with both boxes, Your Oyster booklet, international Rolex papers from Finland dated September 1999 and a Rolex UK service slip dated June 2014. £2,699 Stock number: 52-33-004Lady’s bicolour Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model 6917 (3) on Jubilee 62523 bracelet with white / small roman numeral dial. Comes with its original boxes, numbered green swing-tag, hand-written Rolex papers from Kuwait dated June 1983 and our own warranty card. Unusually, it has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. The watch shows some signs of its age, most notably to the bracelet, but for a buyer who will wear it sensibly offers great value – especially with its boxes and papers. Please note: this early 1980s watch comes correctly with the Rolex 203x calibre movement and as such does not have the “quick-set” feature, which would allow easier correction of the date at the end of a short month; instead one must simply advance or reverse the hands 24 hours to change the date.

£5,999 Stock number: 82-43-008Stainless steel 40mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with black / index baton dial having orange detail and “lightning” seconds hand, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. In very nice condition, but we do note superficial wear to the glass. Its “M28xxxx” case number suggests it is from around 2008. The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part in the form of the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland, but with time became a rare and desirable line. This watch is one of the newer models launched at Basel in 2007, but as another discontinued version it now has a market all of its own. This beautiful watch with ETA-based movement was the subject of an insurance claim and has spent much of its short life in various safes. There are very few signs of wear, just a few small marks around the bezel rim. Highly desirable, stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T / LV with Mark V maxi dial and green “slim 4” / “thin 4” bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93250 bracelet. This is a V6xxxxx case-number watch in excellent condition with both boxes, Submariner booklet, original UK warranty card dated December 2010 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2020 (both cards explicitly confirming that it is an original 16610LV). The 2020 service was carried out through main agent Mappin & Webb and cost £585. Correctly, this version has a numbered inner rehaut. There is a fatter, new equivalent model made by Rolex, though usually not available without a huge premium now. Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 with black “SWISS” dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This U75xxxx case number watch from around 1998 is in wonderful condition, even having the green sticker still on its case-back. It comes with original Rolex 16610 boxes, Oyster booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The larger, NEW equivalent is now £7,300 (if you can find one!), but the earlier models have proved increasingly popular in their own right.
