Of interest to collectors! Bicolour Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust model 17013 from the early 1990s, with delightful silver / baton dial. Contrary to the widely-held belief of a million wine-bar experts, for over twenty years Rolex DID make a quartz watch whose second hand TICKS rather than sweeps, as one might otherwise rightly expect of their mechanical watches. These Oysterquartz models are quite rare and their chunky looks are not to everyone's taste, but they have a following and this one is in very nice condition. It comes with a Rolex box-set and UK service slip from 2012, when we had it serviced and a new dial fitted at a cost of over £750. We like to warn prospective buyers just how LOUD the ticking sound always is on the Rolex 5035 quartz module. If you enjoy stalking lions, work for the Special Forces or are plagued by fears that a ticking bomb might be under your living room chair, this may not be the model for you. Offered with a one year warranty, since the Oysterquartz range is now discontinued.
