Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual DATE model 1501(0) with silver / baton dial and Oyster 78350 bracelet.  Dating from around 1970, this watch is in very good condition for its age and appears to have had a new bracelet fitted some 12 years ago. A generic acrylic glass has been fitted more recently. These early models did not have a “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, so the hands have to be turned forward 24 hours to advance it when needed. Please note that the dial shows minor signs of age and we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Comes with a plain presentation box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them.

This is one of the older models with no quick-set date-change feature and the softer, acrylic glass, which we advise should no longer be considered water-resistant. This is a very pleasing watch to look at but there are some signs of its thirty or more years of wear, reflected in this keen price. Has a later box and our own warranty card. The NEW equivalent, much improved as it is, now costs £6,400!
