Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16760 on Oyster 78360 bracelet with black dial and red / black bezel insert. This is the short-lived transitional model (crudely named the “fat lady” by collectors) with 3085 calibre movement, its 8-million case number suggesting it is from the mid-1980s. The case seems to be in excellent condition and has not been over-polished, but please note that the dial is a luminova Rolex service replacement part (“SWISS MADE” text rather than “SWISS-T<25” at the bottom), and it appears from the date code in the bracelet clasp that this has also been replaced at a later date. In all, a lovely period GMT-Master coming with Rolex boxes and our own warranty card. The current, much fatter new equivalent is now £6,200 but these earlier models have proved increasingly desirable in recent years.
