Classic Rolex Oyster Perpetual, from around 1987! Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 5500 with smart silver / baton dial on sturdy Oyster 78350 bracelet. A generic acrylic glass has been fitted more recently. In very pleasing condition, it comes with Rolex box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual. Please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. In very good condition, it comes with Breitling boxes, Aerospace instruction booklet, numbered chronometer certificate, “certificat de serie limitee,” UK warranty booklet from Andrew Michael’s Jewellers in Newark dated October 2013, numbered swing-tag and delivery bezel protector. This limited run celebrates the RAF’s famous 7 Squadron, whose activities you read about here and here. The star motif on the dial, unique to this special edition, reflects the representation of the constellation Ursa Major on their regimental badge.
