Purchased an Air-King [Rolex] for my wife and she could not be happier.  I live in Scotland so had to drive to Liverpool to get the watch which is of course inconvenient but the price, condition of the watch and overall experience counter this inconvenience nicely. 30th July 2023 : “Dear Mr Milton . . . I purchased a watch from you guys initially a month or so ago . . . I have been looking for an unusual piece. Finally managed to find such a piece after viewing 2/3 potential pieces, past couple of weeks or so. This being a Rolex SD4000 [SeaDweller], purchased today from the Liverpool [St.John’s] store / team. 23rd July 2022 [ after our Watch Team thanked a customer who had been asking them about a Rolex watch before buying it ] : “Hi Phil, You’re welcome for the business today. 29th May 2022 [ on an international forum about vintage Rolex watches ] : “Realistically Haywood Milton, Mike Wood, Marcello Pisani (God bless his soul, RIP), Erpin, Jacek and a few other collectors who own the bulk of the rarest models in existence would be my votes for the most knowledgeable . . . people who have been collecting since the MOD was selling mil-subs out of a choice on a tray @ $50 ea. / have estimated multi-million $$$ collections and are the ones who are sourcing the rarest pieces for collectors across the globe. They would be the ones I went to if I truly wanted knowledge about a particular piece.”

4th May 2022 :  members of the Jewellery Valuers Association were struggling with the appraisal of a historically interesting Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665. Our Managing Director and vintage Rolex specialist Haywood Milton provided them with a detailed assessment and context to which they variously commented “Wow, that was amazing. Thank you” “I just thought I’d email you directly to say thank you for taking the time and effort to provide me such a detailed answer. Its absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to discuss it with the client. They will be so impressed and I’ll make sure to give you the credit for it…Anyway, thanks again. 31st January 2022 : “Hi Haywood, You’ve helped me in the past so I directed my young nephew to one of your Liverpool stores to buy a GMT ceramic (black bezel). He is delighted with his purchase as he bought it today driving down from Scotland. Hopefully I have returned the previous favour in some small way. 13th August 2021 : “Miltons = great place to buy. Recently bought a 16610 [Rolex] Sub[mariner] from Miltons in Liverpool. I know that Haywood has a great reputation on here [the tz-uk.com watch forum], but the experience I had backs this up. I didn’t get to meet the man himself, but I was dealt with by his team with courtesy and professionalism. The watch is immaculate, and running well within COSC parameters. It came with the original box and manual, as well as the Miltonaires guarantee and an entry from the Watch Register. What I have most of all is peace of mind: this is my only expensive watch, and I can’t afford to be scammed. I know this is the genuine article, backed my Haywood‘s reputation and many year’s of experience. It was REALLY good price, too! Many thanks to Haywood and the team.”

9th August 2021 : “I bought a Rolex Submariner 16610 from you just over a week ago, your reference 52-42-005. I am thoroughly delighted with the watch, which is in superb condition, and running superbly (my timegrapher has it at +2 spd, so within COSC). Given the condition and timekeeping, I suspect it has had a service at some point in the near past- do you have any knowledge about its history, and if this might be the case?  I was hoping to meet Haywood when we were with, but he wasn’t around. I’m a long-standing member of the TZ-UK forum . . . and  feel I know him a bit through his posts! I bought a GMT 16713 root-beer from you about six years ago, I travelling from Peterborough to collect in person, 5 hrs travelling each way but it was well worth it , the GMT is still my most worn watch. You also kindly checked over a 1680 Mk1 red Submariner for me, bought in the USA, just to make sure all was ok. 15th February 2021 : “Dear Sir, I have recently had the pleasure of buying some Rolex watches from your St Johns branch. For the record, I would like to upgrade my Rolex DSSD in the near future (I’m potentially looking for a 126710 BLRO) so I’ll be sure to peruse your stock, as and when I require one. 10th November 2020 [ on Trustpilot ] : “Best in the business. Having purchased a Rolex Daytona from Miltons and receiving excellent service before, during and after the sale I can highly recommend them. Unfortunately I recently had two other Rolex stolen from me and reached out to Haywood (owner of Miltons) for some advice, he went above and beyond and even helped register the watches stolen on some trade accounts while offering me sound advice. I honestly cant fault them at all, their prices are some of the best online and you wont find anyone more knowledgeable in this sector so buy with 110% confidence. I will be looking for another watch in the very near future and wont be going elsewhere. Thanks again!”

10th October 2020, in a thread on the watch forum www.tz-uk.com : “Milton’s, St. John’s Centre, Liverpool – I enquired about a watch there on Monday and it was immediately put on hold for me no deposit paid even though I could not get there until yesterday afternoon. Never having been to Liverpool in 53 years I did not fancy driving in the city centre even with the help of Google Maps so I jumped on the train from Rotherham yesterday as the shop is directly opposite Lime Street station. I would just like to say that the service there is superlative, a bit like the watch I purchased. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with them and I will not hesitate going back there if something catches my eye.”

I also appreciate the time you gave looking at my fathers Rolex which he’d had since 1963 and lost on a beach in Dar es Salaam, East Africa while swimming in the high waves with us kids. So after searching the beach for the rest of that day and not finding it, he returned the next day with family and friends to make a grid like search pattern in the sand where he thought roughly where it may have come off. So, it means even more to me than ever and I don’t think we had a telling off for any mischief we may have got up to as kids for the next week, as he was so overwhelmed at finding that watch,  under the odds of probably never seeing it again. If you are thinking of buying a second hand Rolex, I cannot think of a safer place to buy – their knowledge and quality of service is superb. You instantly know that you are dealing with fellow enthusiasts. They make this minefield as risk free as you can get. We even had the bracelet off and took some photos of inbetween the lugs using Haywood’s latest little toy, which I will now look for on e-bay.

I tried the watch on and the bracelet seemed to fit okay, but Phil, one of Haywood’s top men wasn’t totally happy. He said that although it did fit, there was no room for wider adjustment and insisted on adding an extra link and reducing the notches on the clasp. The outcome was much the same, only Phil had given me two notches either way to either increase or reduce the size of the bracelet. It is that kind of attention to detail that is so impressive.

I was looking for a pre-owned Rolex watch on your web site, which incidentally I found very informative and easy to use. I had a maximum budget and specific requirements (I did not want diamonds, roman numerals or large batons) and wanted a champagne face, a classic Rolex.
We were staying in Chester on a weeks’ holiday and on Monday 2nd February we went into the Chester branch and the staff were extremely helpful, especially Peter. Unfortunately they did not have a suitable Rolex but even though they were not making the sale Peter looked on the web site and we found what I was looking for in Liverpool and he telephoned and reserved it for me. As we had never visited Liverpool before Peter gave us detailed directions of how to find the shop.
On Tuesday morning we went to Liverpool St John’s and I was so pleased and impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, especially the lady who served us, regrettably I did not get her name. The bracelet was too small and a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic man put in the extra links and made sure it fitted properly and went through the winding and date changing instructions. It was so obvious he loved his job.
Initially I was getting a Rolex watch for Christmas and looked on line and found exactly what I wanted in Winchester (only 20 miles away). My husband rang them and quoted the reference number and they agreed to reserve it for me. We went the next morning and were disappointed as the watch they showed us was nothing like the watch on line. They did not even apologise but said they didn’t necessarily have the watches displayed on line.
I was so delighted that the watch reserved was exactly as shown on line. Thank you to all your staff in both shops, they are a credit to your company and their customer service definitely exceeded my expectations. The final touch of a bottle of champagne just made my day.

Anyway with caffeine came cojones and so I went back… And bought…. The big ugly Seadweller! I really liked the Explorer ii but when I tried the Seadweller on it Just Looked Right. It’s like a Sub, but more… betterer. I didn’t even think it looked totally stupid on my twiglet like wrists! Had it for a couple of weeks now and can’t stop looking at it I’ve also had it on a NATO which looked amazing. I would like to reiterate how fab Phil was at Milton’s. I also had “the opportunity” to experience their aftersales service. All I would say is absolute first class service from both Phil and Haywood who was superb to deal with. This might sound like a Milton’s advert and so be it. They were that good.”
