  • Stainless steel Rolex Daytona with THREE Rolex UK service cards. Stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA model 116520 from approximately 2002, on Oysterlock 78490 bracelet. This K288xxx case number watch is in excellent condition, the white “SWISS MADE” dial being a recent service replacement. It comes with genuine Rolex 116520 boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, red COSC swing-tag, Rolex service warranty card dated July 2019, an earlier service slip dated February 2007, both of which were carried out through us, and one of the very latest Rolex World Service cards*. We have also provided a certificate from the ALR Watch Register, confirming that we checked it with them. The latest NEW equivalent, ceramic bezel models now have an RRP of £13,600 but “waiting lists” are generally laughable. This has maintained the earlier model 116520’s status as an extremely attractive purchase and it remains in its own right one of the most sought after models in the range.

    * These latest service cards first appeared in late 2023. They bear no visible details of the watch or service, but instead a QR code that leads to an on-line demonstration of how to access the associated watch’s service details. By holding an enabled smart-phone next to the card, an NFC link is provided which brings up the watch’s unique details.

  • Collectible model, still in stickers from 2019 Rolex service : stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA 16520 with correct, Zenith-derived Rolex movement ! Stainless steel Cosmograph Daytona model 16520 with T83xxxx case number from approx 1997. Fitted with Oysterlock 78390 bracelet on 503 end-links, its “Z4” clasp date code suggesting this is original to the watch. Has correct black dial, one of the last tritium ones, with “6” the correct way up on the sub-dial (click through main picture for more images)…and this is of the type from which “Patrizzi” dials can be found. In excellent condition with minimal signs of age to the dial / hands and a sensitively polished bezel. Comes with a Rolex 16520 box-set and very rare COSMOGRAPH Daytona booklet in English with print-code from 1990, depicting the earliest examples with “floating text” dial (which preceded this watch’s dial). That booklet alone can sell for hundreds of pounds ! It also has a Rolex UK service card dated July 2019, a redacted copy of the corresponding service invoice (describing full service, new glass, pushers and crown at a cost of £1,321), red COSC swing-tag and our own warranty card. There is also a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked the watch with them (Rolex UK will also have checked it against their own records, before service). The red striped Rolex service stickers are still in place on the case sides and back ! These first automatic Daytonas, with Zenith-based Rolex 4030 calibre movement, have proved particularly popular with a growing generation of collectors. While a Rolex UK service can make many watches look fantastic, this one also went unworn for some years.

  • Genuine Rolex calendar cards available, from 1995 to 2008 !

    These credit-card sized calendar cards were supplied with new Rolex watches for many years.  Each card covers a two-year period, i.e. 1995-1996, 1996-1997 etc. Miltons have acquired a limited stock of excellent examples priced from £19 depending on stock, rarity and condition of the specific card required.

  • SPARE ROLEX BOXES for sale !     Most between £75 and £120 . . .

    We have a surplus of this type of Rolex boxes, which were supplied with new Rolex watches from around 2004-2014.

    SMALL and MEDIUM sizes are available, usually referred to as ref 30.00.xx, 39137.xx or “Samoa” and ref 31.00.xx, 39139.xx or “Moorea” respectively.

    Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.

    Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.

    Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.

    We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.

    Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

  • We love the highly-desirable, sparkling BAGUETTE DIAMOND DIAL on this rose gold DAYTONA – which is in fantastic condition ! 18ct “Everose” gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116515LN with stunning “sundust” / baguette diamond dial, black Oysterflex strap and ceramic bezel. These models are just as likely to be worn by gents or ladies now. Has large Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated June 2018.  The nearest NEW equivalent with a diamond dial (if you can source one) is now £37,400 (and at the time of writing a baguette diamond dial appears to be offered ONLY on versions with a full diamond bezel), but availability of any similar specification Daytona remains poor which is reflected in the pre-owned market price. The strap will fit a man’s average wrist and offers a small amount of adjustment, but if a different length is required we may be able to swap it with one in stock or will order one on an exchange basis.   • Collectible example, with original papers ! Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA model 16523 in stainless steel and yellow metal on Oyster 78393 bracelet with champagne dial. Comes with polished dark wood / green Jubilee outer box set, Cosmograph Daytona booklet (accessories which are themselves worth several hundred pounds!), red chronometer swing-tag and international Rolex papers dated June 1995. It is in very pleasing condition after the previous owner spent £1,052 having it serviced at Perpetual Time in Liverpool in March 2021, after which it has spent most time in our pawnbroking safes. The main case and bezel are surprisingly good for a watch of this age while the bracelet shows only moderate wear, but we do note some signs of ageing to the dial under magnification. The new equivalent is now £18,950 but these earlier models with their Zenith-derived 4030 calibre Rolex movement have a market all of their own. Please ask for one of the Miltons Watch Team (which includes former managers of Rolex main agents who sold such Daytonas when they were new) to discuss this watch with you.   • Extraordinary opportunity to buy an UNWORN, UK-supplied example of this discontinued DAYTONA model from 2007, complete and still in its delivery stickers! Stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116520 with black dial on Oysterlock 78490 bracelet. This Z46xxxx case number watch is in delivery condition, still in protective stickers. It comes with Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona instruction booklet and bracelet leaflet, UK warranty card from John Pass the Jeweller dated December 2007, both swing-tags and even the delivery bezel protector. The NEW ceramic bezel models now have an RRP of £13,600 but waiting lists are generally intangible / closed and they are commonly being sold on the secondary market for a huge premium. This has made the previous model 116520 an attractive alternative and it remains in its own right one of the most sought after models in recent decades.   • GENUINE ROLEX service / storage / travel pouch with folding press-stud flap and simple green watch-holder insert. Each is approx 12cm x 6.5cm when closed and is suitable for holding a single example of most models in the Rolex range. For a number of years these green pouches were provided by the service division of Rolex UK when they returned a watch to its owner. Many owners now use them as smart travel or storage pouches. They are pre-owned, but many have simply been in our stores since they came with a watch from Rolex. The price quoted is for a single pouch and we anticipate having a small number available from which clients may choose.   • Gent’s genuine Rolex wallet in green leather with reference 0068.08.34 printed in discrete gold-coloured foil inside one of the pockets. This is a slim, folding wallet of approx 144mm x  105mm when closed. Has reinforced corners and Rolex coronet branding to front. These wallets were supplied with gents’ and professional / sports models around the millennium. English bank notes did not fit them at the time and so many were never used, but the latest generation of £5 and £10 notes and credit cards do now fit as illustrated. It is not suitable for coins, or £20 / £50 notes. We have a small stock of these wallets available at both our Chester and Liverpool (St. John’s) stores.   • Daytona destruction! Who takes a good watch and messes about with it, such that it loses most of its inherent qualities and will now be almost unserviceable? We do not like the third-party, unofficial trade in “bespoke” pieces like this watch (originally a steel Rolex Daytona 116520), that seem designed for buyers with more money than sense or taste. The poor quality skeleton dial, failing bezel and generic rubber strap (not shown) all destroy value. Left alone, this watch might by now have been worth a five figure sum. Chopped apart and with inferior, non-Rolex parts added it will costs thousands to restore and its value in this form is a fraction of what it could have been.
