  • SPARE ROLEX BOXES for sale !     Most between £75 and £120 . . .

    We have a surplus of this type of Rolex boxes, which were supplied with new Rolex watches from around 2004-2014.

    SMALL and MEDIUM sizes are available, usually referred to as ref 30.00.xx, 39137.xx or “Samoa” and ref 31.00.xx, 39139.xx or “Moorea” respectively.

    Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.

    Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.

    Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.

    We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.

    Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

  • We love the highly-desirable, sparkling BAGUETTE DIAMOND DIAL on this rose gold DAYTONA – which is in fantastic condition ! 18ct “Everose” gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116515LN with stunning “sundust” / baguette diamond dial, black Oysterflex strap and ceramic bezel. These models are just as likely to be worn by gents or ladies now. Has large Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated June 2018.  The nearest NEW equivalent with a diamond dial (if you can source one) is now £37,400 (and at the time of writing a baguette diamond dial appears to be offered ONLY on versions with a full diamond bezel), but availability of any similar specification Daytona remains poor which is reflected in the pre-owned market price. The strap will fit a man’s average wrist and offers a small amount of adjustment, but if a different length is required we may be able to swap it with one in stock or will order one on an exchange basis. This is an excellent example of the unusual “sports Rolex” for ladies, showing negligible signs of wear. Please note that this watch has been customised by a third party (not Rolex) : the original bezel with its strange, trapezoidal single diamond has been replaced with a full diamond bezel and glass that are NOT made by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such parts to customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one that is already fitted they are usually very popular! Rolex would not provide service support for such a watch, but luckily it contains one of the most common movements and parts / service are available from others. When we first sold this watch about fifteen years ago it still had its original accessories including UK papers from David Morris at Selfridges dated July 2003, but these were no longer with it when the watch was recently traded back in with us. These papers are dated February 2007, but the watch’s P68xxxx case number suggests it is from around 2001. It had probably been in stock at Bucherer for some years, as the lady’s Yachtmaster was at that time something of a slow seller. This late-1980s model was originally supplied on a President bracelet, but like many this had reached the end of its life and has been scrapped. We have now fitted the watch with a black leather strap and gold-plated pin-buckle, both genuine Rolex accessories and supplied by them. The watch has also been fitted previously with a custom-made diamond-set bezel which is NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such individual parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one already fitted like this there always seems to be a queue of buyers! While the bezel shows some wear under close examination, this is an eye-catching dress watch. Each is approx 12cm x 6.5cm when closed and is suitable for holding a single example of most models in the Rolex range. For a number of years these green pouches were provided by the service division of Rolex UK when they returned a watch to its owner. Many owners now use them as smart travel or storage pouches. They are pre-owned, but many have simply been in our stores since they came with a watch from Rolex. The price quoted is for a single pouch and we anticipate having a small number available from which clients may choose.   • Unusual “hybrid” specification, for those who fancy something different ! 26mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 69173 with silver / concentric circles / arabic numeral dial, on a later, stainless steel Rolex bracelet. Comes with original 69173 boxes, Datejust booklet, numbered green swing-tag, UK papers from Charles Fox in Bournemouth dated December 1987 and Rolex UK service slips from 1993 and 1999. The bicolour 62523 reference Jubilee bracelets originally fitted on these models often suffered if worn constantly and this one has been replaced with a genuine, all-steel Rolex Oyster 78240 bracelet from around 2002, which is in superb condition. Typically, a steel bracelet would be fitted because the cost of replacing the old, bicolour one like-for-like was deemed too expensive by its owner.
