Has original BARK finish to bezel and bracelet. This watch is in excellent condition, showing surprisingly little sign of wear for its age. Comes with large, brown “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct Day-Date booklet ( accessories which are themselves now quite valuable ! ) and punched UK papers from Boodle & Dunthorne dated June 1989. £5,699 Stock number: 50-95-02736mm bicolour Rolex Datejust “Turn-o-Graph” model 16263 with smart, pale champagne / baton dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, UK papers from Goldsmiths in Wigan dated December 1992 and a Rolex UK service card dated March 2001. We know that it also had a £520 service in 2017 at “Perpetual Time” in Liverpool, when a generic glass (not by Rolex) was fitted. This is a slightly unusual and increasingly collectible model, showing only moderate signs of age / wear to the bracelet and some wear to the bezel detail, which we have reflected in the price. The last NEW equivalent finally appeared in Rolex UK’s November 2016 price list at £8,200 ! Please note that while this model features a time-lapse bezel it is essentially a dress watch. Clients needing a more robust time-piece with this feature should consider the Rolex Submariner or Yachtmaster ranges.

This 2008 model with “roulette” date wheel (alternating red and black) has previously had its polished stainless steel bezel replaced with a genuine Rolex white metal, fluted bezel (which would correctly be found on the dearer 116234 model), while the glass and mother-of-pearl / diamond dial are custom made, NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such individual parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with them already fitted like this, there always seems to be a queue of buyers ! It is in very pleasing condition but we do note that the fluted bezel shows some wear. £12,899 Stock number: 52-90-01636mm Rolex Day-Date model 18238 in 18ct yellow gold with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial on President bracelet. In very pleasing condition, this circa 1990 model * comes with correct Day-Date booklet, modern Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The 18238 with its 3155 calibre movement was the first model to feature the “double quick-set” feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. * We note that the date-code on the clasp indicates that this part is from around 1980 while the “53” end-links would more commonly be found on bracelets for 1803 model Day-Dates, so we believe the bracelet has been swapped from an earlier watch and is possibly restored, which is reflected in the price. It is in very pleasing condition with only very minor wear around the edge of the glass. A NEW Air-King now costs £6,600 but in truth a closer new equivalent may be the plain Oyster Perpetual 34 model 124200 at £5,100. The popular dial found in this watch is no longer an option. £7,499 Stock number: 52-85-013Colourful variant, no longer offered by Rolex ! 40mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400GV on Oyster 72400 bracelet with “Z-Blue” / index dial, orange “lightning bolt” seconds hand and green-tinted synthetic sapphire glass. In excellent condition, it comes with Rolex boxes, Milgauss booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range over 15 years ago but this last version with its striking green glass / blue dial was especially popular. When it last appeared in UK price lists the NEW RRP was £7,850, but like many of the more unusual steel Professional models, it was always a very hard watch to source at main agents. Interest has only increased now production seems to have stopped.

Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 5500 with very attractive silver / Arabic numeral / SWISS dial. At some point it has been fitted with a modern, sturdier Rolex Oyster 78350 bracelet than would originally have been supplied. It is also now fitted with a generic glass, not by Rolex. In very pleasing condition, this 1960s watch ( case back internally coded for the final quarter of 1963) comes with original UK “Guarantee and At Your Service” booklet (which contains instructions) dated April 1967 at Kenworthys of Ashton-Under-Lyne, and a generic presentation box. We have a surplus of this type of Rolex boxes, which were supplied with new Rolex watches from around 2004-2014.
SMALL and MEDIUM sizes are available, usually referred to as ref 30.00.xx, 39137.xx or “Samoa” and ref 31.00.xx, 39139.xx or “Moorea” respectively.
Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.
Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.
Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.
We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.
Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

As with the Rolex Daytona, it seems that a steel Rolex with complicated functions can prove exceptionally popular. Comes with Rolex boxes, Sky-Dweller booklet, green COSC swing-tag, five-year warranty translation booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It had a new glass fitted by Rolex UK in June 2023. Most other examples on the market at the time of writing have their original warranty card and are priced closer to or well above the NEW equivalent, which is now £14,800. Availability remains limited and clearly if you could obtain a new model for that price then you should. Our keen price reflects the fact that this watch lacks its original warranty card, but it remains one of the most desirable models, in superb condition and — crucially — is available today.

As with the Daytona, it seems that a Rolex with complicated functions can prove exceptionally popular. This yellow gold model was launched only in 2012 but its brilliant condition suggests this one may be more recent. Comes with large Rolex boxes, Sky-Dweller booklet, red swing-tag and Rolex UK service card dated August 2023 when it had a full movement overhaul and new glass fitted at a cost of £1,268. £6,999 Stock number: 82-66-005Stainless steel 40mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with black / index baton dial having orange detail and “lightning bolt” seconds hand, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. Comes with both boxes, Milgauss booklet, UK warranty card dated November 2008 from David M. Robinson in Chester (before that store closed down) and a Rolex UK service card dated June 2012. In very nice condition, but we do note superficial wear to the glass including a small surface scratch near the 7 o’clock marker, which is reflected in the price. The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part in the form of the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland, but with time became a rare and desirable line. This watch is one of the newer models launched at Basel in 2007, but as yet another discontinued version it now has a market all of its own. £14,999 Stock number: 52-61-004Interesting and collectible white gold Rolex! 36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18039 in 18ct white gold with grey-brown “ghost” / diamond dot dial on President 8385 bracelet. The “ghost” dials (usually pale colours with white text) have seen increased collector interest in recent years. In very good condition, this 1980s watch comes with large “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct Day-Date booklet (itself now increasingly valuable!), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. At considerable expense we have just fitted a number of new links direct from Rolex, but we do note that the dial is showing very slight signs of age and the glass is generic, NOT by Rolex. £39 Stock number: Misc. PT 114864Gent’s genuine Rolex wallet in green leather with reference 0068.08.34 printed in discrete gold-coloured foil inside one of the pockets. This is a slim, folding wallet of approx 144mm x 105mm when closed. Has reinforced corners and Rolex coronet branding to front. These wallets were supplied with gents’ and professional / sports models around the millennium. English bank notes did not fit them at the time and so many were never used, but the latest generation of £5 and £10 notes and credit cards do now fit as illustrated. This 3035 calibre watch is in surprisingly nice condition and must have been treasured by its former owner. Comes with original 16013 box-set (in poor condition and with some signs of repair) but more importantly the punched UK papers dated June 1986 and 1985 “YOUR ROLEX OYSTER” booklet. It has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. The new equivalent is now £13,950 !

This is a lovely example of the revised 41mm model that was introduced in the last ten years, coming with both boxes, Datejust booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is in excellent condition with only superficial wear to the edge of the glass. We first sold this watch some years ago with a silver / index baton dial, but before trading it back in with us the owner had this genuine Rolex “Wimbledon” dial fitted by a third party watchmaker. £5,199 Stock number: 50-78-017Striking piece, barely worn after spending much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes ! 34mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual (non-date) model 114200 with eye-catching olive green / index baton dial with orange detail and Oyster 70190A bracelet. Please note that this is the later, plain “OP34” version of the 114200, which replaced the previous “Air-King” variant. It has spent much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes and still has the delivery sticker inside the bracelet clasp ! Comes with both boxes, Oyster Perpetual booklet, green chronometer swing-tag and UK warranty card from David M. Robinson dated March 2018. The NEW equivalent is now £5,000 but this dial is no longer offered on new watches and it attracts a small premium.

£22,999 Stock number: 70-62-025Sparkling gold Day-Date, all diamonds by Rolex! 18ct yellow gold Rolex Day-Date 36 model 118238 on President 83208 bracelet with striking black / diamond dot dial AND a full diamond bezel, from Rolex! Yes, this watch has had its original gold, fluted bezel replaced in 2014 by a new DIAMOND bezel direct from Rolex, which cost £7,175 even then! This stunning watch still has its large Rolex box-set, Day-Date booklet, numbered green swing-tag, UK warranty card from Lepps the Jewellers dated April 2011, Rolex UK service card dated April 2014, a receipt from David M. Robinson for the diamond bezel and an October 2014 valuation from them confirming that the new equivalent with diamond bezel (i.e. a model 118348) at that time would cost £32,150. The new equivalent model 128348 today is £46,300 !
