We first sold this watch when it was unworn and in stickers, with its Rolex warranty card from Portugal dated December 2014 — but this was sadly no longer present when it was pawned back with us in 2024. It now comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, red chronometer swing-tag, Rolex document holder with COSC translation booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. In excellent condition, but we do note that the GLASS is now a generic replacement, not by Rolex, which is reflected in the price. The NEW equivalent is now £11,700 !

This lovely 3185-calibre model comes with Rolex 16710 boxes, GMT-Master booklet, red swing-tag and UK papers from BOODLE & DUNTHORNE LTD dated September 2000. It is in very pleasing condition, the bezel and bracelet showing moderate signs of age and wear. The market for the NEW, heavy-weight steel GMT-Masters went mad over the last ten years but these slightly slimmer, previous-generation models enjoyed a very strong market that has been all their own.

£18,999 Stock number: 52-85-015Collectible model, still in stickers from 2019 Rolex service : stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA 16520 with correct, Zenith-derived Rolex movement ! Stainless steel Cosmograph Daytona model 16520 with T83xxxx case number from approx 1997. Fitted with Oysterlock 78390 bracelet on 503 end-links, its “Z4” clasp date code suggesting this is original to the watch. Has correct black dial, one of the last tritium ones, with “6” the correct way up on the sub-dial (click through main picture for more images)…and this is of the type from which “Patrizzi” dials can be found. In excellent condition with minimal signs of age to the dial / hands and a sensitively polished bezel. Comes with a Rolex 16520 box-set and very rare COSMOGRAPH Daytona booklet in English with print-code from 1990, depicting the earliest examples with “floating text” dial (which preceded this watch’s dial). That booklet alone can sell for hundreds of pounds ! It also has a Rolex UK service card dated July 2019, a redacted copy of the corresponding service invoice (describing full service, new glass, pushers and crown at a cost of £1,321), red COSC swing-tag and our own warranty card. There is also a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked the watch with them (Rolex UK will also have checked it against their own records, before service). The red striped Rolex service stickers are still in place on the case sides and back ! These first automatic Daytonas, with Zenith-based Rolex 4030 calibre movement, have proved particularly popular with a growing generation of collectors. While a Rolex UK service can make many watches look fantastic, this one also went unworn for some years.

£7,499 Stock number: 52-85-013Colourful variant, no longer offered by Rolex ! 40mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400GV on Oyster 72400 bracelet with “Z-Blue” / index dial, orange “lightning bolt” seconds hand and green-tinted synthetic sapphire glass. In excellent condition, it comes with Rolex boxes, Milgauss booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range over 15 years ago but this last version with its striking green glass / blue dial was especially popular. When it last appeared in UK price lists the NEW RRP was £7,850, but like many of the more unusual steel Professional models, it was always a very hard watch to source at main agents. Interest has only increased now production seems to have stopped.

£4,499 Stock number: 50-84-01736mm stainless steel Rolex Datejust model 16200 with silver-grey / Roman numeral dial on Oyster 78360 bracelet. Dating from around 2005, this watch has been fitted previously with a custom-made diamond-set bezel which is NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such individual parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one already fitted like this there always seems to be a queue of buyers ! In very good condition, it comes with Datejust booklet, later Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The nearest NEW equivalent (with just a polished steel bezel) now has an RRP of £6,550.

Each card covers a two-year period, i.e. 1995-1996, 1996-1997 etc. Miltons have acquired a limited stock of excellent examples priced from £19 depending on stock, rarity and condition of the specific card required.

An outstanding example of this popular but very recently discontinued model, it was pawned immediately after purchase and has remained in our safes every since, with bezel protector and delivery stickers to case and bracelet. £3,299 Stock number: 82-83-011Classic 1960s vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision – still with original UK papers ! Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 5500 with very attractive silver / Arabic numeral / SWISS dial. At some point it has been fitted with a modern, sturdier Rolex Oyster 78350 bracelet than would originally have been supplied. It is also now fitted with a generic glass, not by Rolex. In very pleasing condition, this 1960s watch ( case back internally coded for the final quarter of 1963) comes with original UK “Guarantee and At Your Service” booklet (which contains instructions) dated April 1967 at Kenworthys of Ashton-Under-Lyne, and a generic presentation box. This is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Our Watch Team would be delighted to show you how to unscrew the crown, to set the time and (if necessary) to wind it manually.

We have a surplus of this type of Rolex boxes, which were supplied with new Rolex watches from around 2004-2014.
SMALL and MEDIUM sizes are available, usually referred to as ref 30.00.xx, 39137.xx or “Samoa” and ref 31.00.xx, 39139.xx or “Moorea” respectively.
Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.
Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.
Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.
We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.
Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

The strap will fit an average man’s wrist and offers a small amount of adjustment at the clasp, but if a different length is required and we don’t have one in the necessary size to swap, then we may have to order one or more rubber parts on an exchange basis. This A73xxxx case number watch from around 1999 is in very pleasing condition, although we do note some very minor marks to the bezel. It comes with Submariner booklet, later Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Those interested in Rolex trivia may like to note that this watch’s case number suggests it was made in the same batch of 16610s from which a small number of special “Panama Canal” watches were drawn. Those Submariners (and, for the avoidance of doubt, NOT this specific watch) bore dials commissioned with a unique Panama Canal insignia in place of the usual text in the lower half and were then presented to the Canal pilots, to celebrate its passing from the United States of America to Panama.

This 2001 model is one of the earliest 14060s with the “M” suffix, denoting the presence of the 3130 calibre movement, but not yet marked as a chronometer on the dial. £2,499 Stock number: 50-80-015Gent’s stainless steel 41mm Omega Seamaster Professional 300m co-axial automatic bracelet watch, model 212.30.41.20.01.003 with black dial and ceramic bezel insert. This beautiful example comes with Omega boxes, instruction book, matching Omega model card, the original Omega model specification sheet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is in excellent condition, having spent much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes, with only superficial wear to glass and bezel.

Additional value is attributed because of the fluted bezel on this model, a component available only in white or yellow metal. This is the latest 36mm model ( launched c. 2019) with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, green swing-tag, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is in very good condition after spending much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes, although under very close inspection we do note some superficial wear to the glass. The NEW RRP is now £6,450 but supply still seems weak in the UK. Clearly if you can find a new one at RRP then you might wish to buy that instead – but good luck finding one !

£32,999 Stock number: 52-79-006We love the highly-desirable, sparkling BAGUETTE DIAMOND DIAL on this rose gold Daytona – which is in fantastic condition ! 18ct “Everose” gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116515LN with stunning “sundust” / baguette diamond dial, black Oysterflex strap and ceramic bezel. These models are just as likely to be worn by gents or ladies now. Has large Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated June 2018. The nearest NEW equivalent with a diamond dial (if you can source one) is now £35,150 (and at the time of writing a baguette diamond dial appears to be offered ONLY on versions with a full diamond bezel), but availability of any similar specification Daytona remains poor which is reflected in the pre-owned market price. The strap will fit a man’s average wrist and offers a small amount of adjustment, but if a different length is required we may be able to swap it with one in stock or will order one on an exchange basis.
