Classic Rolex Day-Date with what is now a popular “retro” look ! 36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18078 in 18ct yellow gold with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial on President 8723 bracelet (concealed clasp version). Has original BARK finish to bezel and bracelet. This watch is in excellent condition, showing surprisingly little sign of wear for its age. Comes with large, brown “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct  Day-Date booklet ( accessories which are themselves now quite valuable ! ) and punched UK papers from Boodle & Dunthorne dated June 1989. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £36,900 and such good, pre-owned examples are difficult to find.

This is one of the older models with no quick-set date-change feature and the softer, acrylic glass, which we advise should no longer be considered water-resistant. This is a very pleasing watch to look at but there are some signs of its thirty or more years of wear, reflected in this keen price. Has a later box and our own warranty card. The NEW equivalent, much improved as it is, now costs £6,400!
