£32,999 Stock number: 52-70-010Magnificent gold Day-Date with very popular OLIVE GREEN DIAL ! 18ct rose gold Rolex Day-Date 40 model 228235 on President 83415 bracelet with olive green / roman numeral dial. Launched around the 60th anniversary of the very first Day-Date some eight years or so ago, it remains a current model — and with this dial an extremely popular one. It is in beautiful condition after spending much of its short life in various safes, coming with large boxes, Day-Date booklet, green swing-tag, five year guarantee booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The NEW RRP is now £35,000 and at the time of writing many secondhand dealers are asking a premium well above that for secondhand examples !

£28,999 Stock number: 50-70-006AVAILABLE TODAY ! BLUE DIAL, white gold “PEPSI” GMT-Master ! Magnificent 18ct white gold Rolex GMT-Master II model 116719 BLRO (an acronym for BLeu / ROuge, the French for Blue / Red). Comes on Oysterlock 78209 bracelet with the desirable DARK BLUE dial * and red / blue “Pepsi” ceramic bezel insert. In beautiful condition, having spent much of its life in our pawnbroking safes. Has Rolex boxes, GMT-Master II booklet and green swing-tag. The watch also came with what appears to be a warranty card from Sao Paulo dated January 2020, but some unusual features make us doubt the card’s authenticity and it is included with the sale only on that compromised basis. We do include with the watch a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. A NEW equivalent is now £34,200 — but often very hard to obtain !
* Earlier examples of this model came with a black dial, but when a stainless steel “Pepsi” was released it looked too similar. For those in the know, the blue dial (introduced around 2018) ensures your white gold GMT won’t be mistaken as a “mere” stainless steel model !

£6,499 Stock number: 52-63-023Outstanding gold Rolex from the later 1970s! 34mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model 1503 / 8 in 18ct yellow gold with classic champagne / baton dial. The condition of the case, bezel and bracelet indicate that despite its age this watch has so far been only rarely and carefully worn. It is correctly fitted with a light-weight “rivet” Oyster bracelet which is in superb condition, but this type of bracelet does not cope well if given a hard life and so we recommend that this watch be bought for DRESS wear only. Comes with vintage YOUR ROLEX OYSTER instruction booklet, modern Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Please note : (1) we no longer guarantee these older models to be water-resistant (2) this 1575 calibre model correctly has no “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, so the wearer must turn the hands through 24 hours to advance or reverse the date and (3) while the bracelet is in exceptional condition, this “rivet” style never proved especially strong and we suggest that it is kept for dress wear only. £29,999 Stock number: 52-67-022Available today, still in service stickers and fresh from Rolex overhaul ! 42mm Rolex Sky-Dweller model 326938 in 18ct yellow gold with gorgeous silvery “sun-dust” / Roman numeral dial on Oyster 72418 bracelet. As with the Daytona, it seems that a Rolex with complicated functions can prove exceptionally popular. This yellow gold model was launched only in 2012 but its brilliant condition suggests this one may be more recent. Comes with large Rolex boxes, Sky-Dweller booklet, red swing-tag and Rolex UK service card dated August 2023 when it had a full movement overhaul and new glass fitted at a cost of £1,268. Ask for our Rolex-trained specialists Phil or Paul to discuss this watch with you. This is a complicated time-piece, but as well as having that precious instruction booklet (phew!) its new owner may also refer to the online user guide and video available on Rolex’s own website. £8,999 Stock number: 52-67-017Still in stickers from Rolex UK Service! 36mm Rolex Datejust model 16238 in 18ct yellow gold with silver / diamond dot dial dial on a Rolex strap. This circa 1990 model comes with brown “luggage” style Rolex box, Datejust booklet, a scanned extract of Rolex UK service paperwork and their service guarantee card dated March 2021. At that time the watch enjoyed £1,192 worth of work including a full movement overhaul, new glass, spring-bars, crown, alligator strap and gold-plated Rolex pin-buckle! It was 2011 when a NEW equivalent 36mm gold Datejust on a strap was last offered in the UK and with a diamond dot dial this would have cost £13,630 then. Prices generally have risen very considerably in the 12 following years ! This watch is in excellent condition and we believe it has been barely out of the box since the 2021 service. Under close examination we can see some signs of superficial, historic grazing to the bezel and that the model number has worn off, but the crucial, unique case number is very clear and this corresponds with Rolex’s records, confirming it to be a 16238. £15,999 Stock number: 52-61-004Interesting and collectible white gold Rolex! 36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18039 in 18ct white gold with grey-brown “ghost” / diamond dot dial on President 8385 bracelet. The “ghost” dials (usually pale colours with white text) have seen increased collector interest in recent years. In very good condition, this 1980s watch comes with large “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct Day-Date booklet (itself now increasingly valuable!), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. At considerable expense we have just fitted a number of new links direct from Rolex, but we do note that the dial is showing very slight signs of age and the glass is generic, NOT by Rolex. The 18039 introduced the “single quick-set” feature to allow easier setting than on previous versions of the Day-Date, thanks to its 3055 calibre movement. The NEW equivalent is now £34,550! This watch comes with large “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct Day-Date booklet (itself now increasingly valuable!) and original UK papers from Boodle & Dunthorne dated February 1995. The 18238 with its 3155 calibre movement was the first model to feature the double quick-set feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. The NEW equivalent is now £31,150!

£25 Stock number: Misc.PT 114864GENUINE ROLEX service / storage / travel pouch with folding press-stud flap and simple green watch-holder insert. Each is approx 12cm x 6.5cm when closed and is suitable for holding a single example of most models in the Rolex range. For a number of years these green pouches were provided by the service division of Rolex UK when they returned a watch to its owner. Many owners now use them as smart travel or storage pouches. They are pre-owned, but many have simply been in our stores since they came with a watch from Rolex. The price quoted is for a single pouch and we anticipate having a small number available from which clients may choose. £4,999 Stock number: 50-18-195A gold and diamond Rolex for this price ? Gent’s 18ct yellow gold and diamond Rolex Cellini mechanical (i.e. requiring daily manual winding) dress watch model 4630/8 on integral fine Milanese / ribbon-style bracelet with impressive diamond bezel and 1601 calibre Rolex movement. This watch is in exceptional condition, coming with original Cellini box-set (the cardboard outer carton is very tatty and with signs of some repair, but the main box is splendid), Cellini booklet, hand-written Rolex papers from David M. Robinson dated 20th May 1988 in original green plastic wallet and a valuation from DMR dated just days later. This slim, wind-up watch (not an Oyster model) was intended for dress wear and is not water-proof. We certainly wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear. It now seems to epitomise the flamboyant style of the 1980s, but further value here lies also in its accessories and the exceptional condition. The bracelet length remains that for a large wrist. While it has three positions for minor adjustment within the double-leaf clasp, we will NOT otherwise adjust the size of the bracelet. This watch could be considered by a collector or someone with a suitably large wrist who might treasure and wear it for a few very special occasions every year. £15,999 Stock number: 52-66-019GENUINE diamond dial and bezel, both by Rolex ! 36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18038 in 18ct yellow gold on President 8385 bracelet with striking black / diamond dot dial AND a full diamond bezel, from Rolex ! Yes, this circa 1986 watch had its original gold, fluted bezel replaced with a new DIAMOND bezel direct from Rolex through one of their main agents (and confirmed by them)! Its case back appears to show Rolex UK service markings from 1999 and 2004. It is in very good condition but we do note that the GLASS is a generic replacement, not by Rolex. It comes with a modern Rolex box-set, original Day-Date booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. With diamond bezel and dial, a new equivalent 128348 model would now cost £44,550 !

Yes, this watch has had its original gold, fluted bezel replaced in 2014 by a new DIAMOND bezel direct from Rolex, which cost £7,175 even then! This stunning watch still has its large Rolex box-set, Day-Date booklet, numbered green swing-tag, UK warranty card from Lepps the Jewellers dated April 2011, Rolex UK service card dated April 2014, a receipt from David M. Robinson for the diamond bezel and an October 2014 valuation from them confirming that the new equivalent with diamond bezel (i.e. a model 118348) at that time would cost £32,150. The new equivalent today is £44,550!

This 1999 model watch comes with its Submariner booklet, a later Rolex box-set, red chronometer swing-tag, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them.
