£7,399 Stock number: 80-76-003Desirable “four-line” Rolex Submariner with boxes & warranty card. Stainless steel Rolex non-date Submariner model 14060M with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This G-series watch with four-line “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” text and numbered inner rehaut is one of the last examples of what has in recent years become an extremely desirable model. Earlier versions did not feature the additional SCOC text on the dial. Priced keenly to reflect the fact that the glass is generic (not by Rolex, although it does appear to be a high quality part), the bezel and crown show some signs of wear and the case back previously had a personalised engraving (now removed). £18,999 Stock number: 52-85-015Collectible model, still in stickers from 2019 Rolex service : stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA 16520 with correct, Zenith-derived Rolex movement ! Stainless steel Cosmograph Daytona model 16520 with T83xxxx case number from approx 1997. Fitted with Oysterlock 78390 bracelet on 503 end-links, its “Z4” clasp date code suggesting this is original to the watch. Has correct black dial, one of the last tritium ones, with “6” the correct way up on the sub-dial (click through main picture for more images)…and this is of the type from which “Patrizzi” dials can be found. In excellent condition with minimal signs of age to the dial / hands and a sensitively polished bezel. Comes with a Rolex 16520 box-set and very rare COSMOGRAPH Daytona booklet in English with print-code from 1990, depicting the earliest examples with “floating text” dial (which preceded this watch’s dial). That booklet alone can sell for hundreds of pounds ! It also has a Rolex UK service card dated July 2019, a redacted copy of the corresponding service invoice (describing full service, new glass, pushers and crown at a cost of £1,321), red COSC swing-tag and our own warranty card. There is also a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked the watch with them (Rolex UK will also have checked it against their own records, before service). The red striped Rolex service stickers are still in place on the case sides and back ! These first automatic Daytonas, with Zenith-based Rolex 4030 calibre movement, have proved particularly popular with a growing generation of collectors. While a Rolex UK service can make many watches look fantastic, this one also went unworn for some years.

Each card covers a two-year period, i.e. 1995-1996, 1996-1997 etc. Miltons have acquired a limited stock of excellent examples priced from £19 depending on stock, rarity and condition of the specific card required.

SMALL and MEDIUM sizes are available, usually referred to as ref 30.00.xx, 39137.xx or “Samoa” and ref 31.00.xx, 39139.xx or “Moorea” respectively.
Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.
Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.
Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.
We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.
Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

This A73xxxx case number watch from around 1999 is in very pleasing condition, although we do note some very minor marks to the bezel. Those interested in Rolex trivia may like to note that this watch’s case number suggests it was made in the same batch of 16610s from which a small number of special “Panama Canal” watches were drawn. Those Submariners (and, for the avoidance of doubt, NOT this specific watch) bore dials commissioned with a unique Panama Canal insignia in place of the usual text in the lower half and were then presented to the Canal pilots, to celebrate its passing from the United States of America to Panama.

Comes with polished dark wood / green Jubilee outer box set, Cosmograph Daytona booklet (accessories which are themselves worth several hundred pounds!), red chronometer swing-tag and international Rolex papers dated June 1995. It is in very pleasing condition after the previous owner spent £1,052 having it serviced at Perpetual Time in Liverpool in March 2021, after which it has spent most time in our pawnbroking safes. The main case and bezel are surprisingly good for a watch of this age while the bracelet shows only moderate wear, but we do note some signs of ageing to the dial under magnification. The new equivalent is now £18,950 but these earlier models with their Zenith-derived 4030 calibre Rolex movement have a market all of their own. £10,699 Stock number: 52-77-006Brilliant example of a popular, short-lived model ! Stainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 model 116600 with black dial and ceramic bezel insert on Oyster Glidelock 97400 bracelet. Comes with both boxes, Sea-Dweller 4000 booklet, green chronometer swing-tag, UK warranty card from Fattorini the Jeweller in Harrogate dated August 2015 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2019. Rolex fans were delighted when the company re-introduced an SD4000 into the range, after the bulk of the DeepSea 116660 version had put off so many ordinary buyers. The more practical size of this model, the lack of a sometimes-annoying “cyclops” magnifying lens and 60-minute marked bezel (a nod to Rolex’s military past) were instant hits. It has just had a genuine, new Rolex bezel insert fitted and is in very pleasing condition, but we do note moderate signs of age / wear, signs of repair to the Fliplock rivet and that the glass fitted is generic, not by Rolex — all factors reflected in this keen price. £12,999 Stock number: 62-13-004Classic 1970s Rolex Explorer / Explorer 1 * with “Frog's Foot” dial, FRESH FROM SPECIALIST ROLEX SERVICE by Steven Hale Watch Restoration Ltd. ! Various generations of stainless steel Explorer with their classic and easy-to-read black / 3-6-9 dials have been celebrated as the choice for adventurers. After a few early models like the 6150 (as issued to the Royal Navy Hydographic Survey), the Explorer model 1016 was introduced and during some thirty years in production this model earned its reputation as a classic collectible. This Rolex Explorer 1016 with 298xxxx case number has a case-back date-stamped for the first quarter of 1972. It retains its original “Mark 1” matt black / Arabic quarters “Frog's Foot” dial, so called because the Rolex coronet is printed in a distinctive style that is reminiscent of a frog's webbed foot. The dial is clean to the naked eye although with a 10x loupe one can find some tiny marks, and it has well-matched hands that we believe are the originals. The bracelet is the light-weight, folded steel Oyster 7836 with 358 end-links, in very nice condition. It has a Rolex 1570 calibre movement with unique movement number 236642 as illustrated in the photo-essay linked below. The movement is running well, testing at a gain of only a few second per day on average in October 2023, although this will vary slightly depending on the individual wearer. Its mid case is in fine condition with lugs that have not been over-polished, the crown and bezel are excellent and the case numbering is crisp and clear. Offered with a genuine Explorer 1016 / 1655 instruction booklet (itself a valuable collectible!), Rolex “Green-Stripe” box-set (matching inner and outers ref 06.00.06), red COSC swing-tag, plastic document wallet and chronometer translation leaflet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This is an excellent example of the unusual “sports Rolex” for ladies, showing negligible signs of wear. Comes with Rolex 169622 box set, Yachtmaster booklet and UK papers from Owen & Robinson in Leeds dated April 2004. The last NEW RRP shown for this model was £7,050 — but that was about seven years ago and new prices generally have increased substantially since then.
£15,999 Stock number: 12-26-002A British Army helicopter pilot’s watch : vintage Rolex 1680 Submariner Date with Mark 2 dial, box & papers! Stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date model 1680 with 6152xxx case number, its original dial being in simply outstanding condition. First purchased by Captain “P” in Singapore during December 1980, this watch retains its original punched papers, plastic document wallet bearing a sticker with the watch’s faded case number on it, YOUR ROLEX OYSTER booklet with 1980 print-code, Rolex 68.00.2 box with slotted card interior and “Création Genève” motif inside the lid, a Rolex UK service card dated June 2002 and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. In early 2014 the watch was taken to a Rolex main agent who knew to direct the watch to us, and Miltons (Liverpool) Ltd bought it in February 2014. It lived thereafter unworn in our safes until April 2023 when we sent it to Steven Hale Watch Restoration Limited, a fully accredited Rolex watch-maker and one of the UK’s leading vintage specialists. The watch enjoyed £1,536 worth of work including a full movement service and the fitting of new glass, auto-drive wheel, rotor axle, reversers and barrel, while the paint on the hands was also restored. The black bezel insert was replaced previously and has what we believe to be a Luminova variant “pip.” The Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet with 501 B end-links has a “PJ11″ clasp code, indicating that this, too, is a replacement part from Rolex, probably not fitted earlier than 2009. The watch has a Rolex 1575 calibre movement, the bridge marked 1570 as normal, its unique movement number D856389 shown in the photo-essay linked below. The movement is running well, testing within chronometer tolerance in September 2023, although this will vary slightly depending on the individual wearer. Its case, bracelet and crown are in very good condition but we have not refinished them, allowing them to keep the character reflecting the working life the watch has led, serving Captain P as a military pilot and then with his own helicopter charter company. £10,399 Stock number: 12-61-004Vintage Submariner, FRESH FROM SPECIALIST ROLEX SERVICE by Steven Hale Watch Restoration Ltd. Stainless steel Rolex Submariner model 5513 manufactured around 1984 with 8673xxx case number. The watch features a “SWISS-T<25” tritium dial with white metal surrounds to the hour markers. These dials were introduced on new watches around the time this watch was made, but then also used as service replacement dials for any 5513s which needed them. Codes inside the case-back suggest that this watch was serviced by Rolex UK in Summer 1989 and early 1996. Miltons (Liverpool) Ltd bought the watch in January 2017 and in Summer 2023 sent it to Stephen Hale, a fully accredited Rolex watch-maker and one of the UK’s leading vintage specialists. The watch enjoyed £1,500 worth of work including a full service and the fitting of new tube gaskets, plexi glass, 4th wheel, auto-drive, rotor axle and black bezel insert (with what we believe to be a Luminova variant “pip”), while the luminous material on the hands was also restored. The Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet with 580 end-links has an “S X11” clasp code, suggesting that is a replacement service part that was fitted around the millennium. The rest of the bracelet shows some signs of age and wear, but this generation of Oysters was substantial and it has many years of reasonable wear left. It has a Rolex 1520 calibre movement which is running very well after service, although it will vary slightly depending on the individual wearer. Its new glass and bezel insert are of course in perfect condition having just been replaced. The case, crown and bezel rim are in very good condition, while the case numbering is crisp and clear. Comes with period-correct Rolex 67.00.08 box-set and 1987 English Submariner instruction booklet (themselves being accessories of some value!), our own warranty card, a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them and a copy of the invoice from SHWR listing all work carried out. Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master model 1675 from around 1978 with 557xxxx case number. It was most recently serviced by Rolex UK in February 2017 and was then bought by S.S.Milton Ltd in Chester later that year. Still in its striped service stickers, it has lived thereafter unworn in our safes. Extensive service history may be viewed in our photo-essay (see link below). The Oyster 78360 bracelet with 580 end-links has an “O1” clasp code, suggesting that is an early 1990 replacement part. It has a Rolex 1575 calibre movement, the bridge marked 1570 as normal, its unique movement number D724674 shown in the photo-essay linked below. The movement is running well, testing close to spot on for time-keeping in July 2023, although this will vary slightly depending on the individual wearer. Its case, crown and glass are in excellent condition, the case numbering is crisp and clear, the bezel insert is excellent and the bezel rim is very good, if evenly worn. The bracelet shows some signs of age and wear, but this generation of Oysters was substantial and it has many years of reasonable wear left. £13,999 Stock number: 12-52-009One of the most wearable vintage Sea-Dwellers available! Stainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 from around 1975 with 408xxxx case number and straight “ROLEX” text across the case-back. Yes, those in the know will realise that the case number and case-back style prove that this watch was originally an even more highly desirable “Double Red” Sea-Dweller, but in 2004 it was serviced by Rolex UK who fitted this new “Great White” service replacement dial with Luminova markers. They also appear to have fitted a new Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet with 585 end-links (its “S DT4” clasp code identifying it as a service part, manufactured in April 2002). The main 1665 case and 1665 case-back both show the same, matching 408xxxx case number in full. It has a Rolex 1575 calibre movement, the bridge marked 1570 as normal, and its unique movement number D952xxx is shown in the photo-essay linked below. The movement is running well, testing on average to be + 4 seconds per day in July 2023, although this will vary slightly depending on the individual wearer. Its case, bracelet, crown and glass are in excellent condition, the case numbering is crisp and clear, the bezel insert is is excellent and the bezel rim is very good – we note a small bump on its inner rim, near the 3 minute marker. The watch appears to have had little wear after the 2004 service by Rolex and since April 2016 has simply sat in one of the Miltons’ safes! Offered with a period-correct Rolex box (ref 67.00.03), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is interesting to note that the case numbers of this batch of 1665s appear to sit adjacent to a batch of rare Submariner 5514s made for the French diving company COMEX. While we might have preferred that it retained its original and much more valuable dial, this watch in its refurbished form and with the extremely good bracelet offers much of the charm of a vintage Sea-Dweller combined with the smart look and wearable nature of a later model. Our extensive research and record-keeping over many years leads us to conclude that Sea-Dweller 1665s featured the word “ROLEX” written straight across the case back on all watches with case numbers below c. 520xxxx, after which “ROLEX” was written in a conspicuously curved style. That same research allows us to determine that Double Red dials were fitted in Sea-Dweller 1665s until at least the high 529xxxx range of case numbers, after which they fitted dials with text all in white. In excellent condition, it has Rolex boxes, Yachtmaster booklet and original papers from the famous jeweller Bucherer in Switzerland. These papers are dated February 2007, but the watch’s P68xxxx case number suggests it is from around 2001. It had probably been in stock at Bucherer for some years, as the lady’s Yachtmaster was at that time something of a slow seller. £25 Stock number: Misc.PT 114864GENUINE ROLEX service / storage / travel pouch with folding press-stud flap and simple green watch-holder insert. Each is approx 12cm x 6.5cm when closed and is suitable for holding a single example of most models in the Rolex range. For a number of years these green pouches were provided by the service division of Rolex UK when they returned a watch to its owner. Many owners now use them as smart travel or storage pouches. They are pre-owned, but many have simply been in our stores since they came with a watch from Rolex. The price quoted is for a single pouch and we anticipate having a small number available from which clients may choose. £39 Stock number: Misc. PT 114864Gent’s genuine Rolex wallet in green leather with reference 0068.08.34 printed in discrete gold-coloured foil inside one of the pockets. This is a slim, folding wallet of approx 144mm x 105mm when closed. Has reinforced corners and Rolex coronet branding to front. These wallets were supplied with gents’ and professional / sports models around the millennium. English bank notes did not fit them at the time and so many were never used, but the latest generation of £5 and £10 notes and credit cards do now fit as illustrated. It is not suitable for coins, or £20 / £50 notes. We have a small stock of these wallets available at both our Chester and Liverpool (St. John’s) stores. £10,499 Stock number: 52-81-003Desirable watch, Rolex-serviced in January 2023 ! Bicolour Rolex GMT-Master II model 116713 LN with black dial and ceramic bezel insert on Oysterlock 78203 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, GMT-Master II booklet, numbered green swing-tag and UK warranty card from Mercers in Enniskillen dated October 2012. Now discontinued, but the nearest NEW equivalent in steel and rose metal is £16,350.

£12,499 Stock number: 52-53-003Serviced by Rolex in November 2017 – a very desirable “Kermit” 16610 LV from 2006 with boxes, tags, UK papers and more! Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T / LV with Mark IV maxi dial and green “slim 4” / “thin 4” bezel insert. This is a D6xxxxx case-number watch in excellent condition with both boxes in delivery sleeve, Submariner booklet, both swing-tags (the green one’s sticker specifying that it is a 16610LV), delivery bezel protector, original UK papers dated April 2006 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2017, again specifying that it is a 16610LV. The original owner paid £475 for a full service through a main agent at that time. Correctly, this version has a plain, un-numbered inner rehaut. It is in excellent condition with perfect glass, excellent bracelet and only the very lightest of marks on the bezel insert. There is a fatter, new equivalent model made by Rolex, though usually not available without a huge premium now. The older models have been increasingly sought after since they were discontinued some years ago and have proved enduringly collectible.

Stock number:Daytona destruction! Who takes a good watch and messes about with it, such that it loses most of its inherent qualities and will now be almost unserviceable? We do not like the third-party, unofficial trade in “bespoke” pieces like this watch (originally a steel Rolex Daytona 116520), that seem designed for buyers with more money than sense or taste. The poor quality skeleton dial, failing bezel and generic rubber strap (not shown) all destroy value. Left alone, this watch might by now have been worth a five figure sum. Chopped apart and with inferior, non-Rolex parts added it will costs thousands to restore and its value in this form is a fraction of what it could have been.

£7,999 Stock number: 60-86-002Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 116710LN with black dial and ceramic bezel insert on Oysterlock 78200 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, GMT-Master II booklet, numbered green swing-tag & UK warranty card from Charles Fox in Bournemouth dated February 2009. Please note that a previous owner has given the bracelet a fully-brushed finish, rather than a highly-polished finish to the middle strip of the links such as it would have had when new. We have seen this before and can see why some customers like it, so have chosen to leave it as is. This watch does show general signs of wear, especially to the bracelet and bezel, which is reflected in the price. The NEW equivalent is now £9,850 !
