Serviced by Rolex in November 2017 – a very desirable, single-owner 16610 LV from 2006 with boxes, tags, UK papers and more! Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T / LV with Mark IV maxi dial and green “slim 4” / “thin 4” bezel insert. This is a D6xxxxx case-number watch in excellent condition with both boxes in delivery sleeve, Submariner booklet, both swing-tags (the green one's sticker specifies it is a 16610 LV), delivery bezel protector, original UK papers dated April 2006 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2017, again specifying that it is a 16610LV. The original owner paid £475 for a full service through a main agent at that time. Correctly, this version has a plain, un-numbered inner rehaut. It is in excellent condition with perfect glass, excellent bracelet and only the very lightest of marks on the bezel insert. There is a fatter, new equivalent model made by Rolex, though usually not available without a huge premium now. The older models have been increasingly sought after since they were discontinued a few years ago, and many sellers are now asking prices like this for examples without papers or the recent service by Rolex. We can but smile when we see the original price sticker for £2,790 . . . ! Please ask one of the Rolex-trained specialists in the Miltons watch team to discuss this watch with you.On Deposit - SALE AGREED£6,599 Stock number: 52-14-025

Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 with original black “SWISS – T < 25” dial on Oyster 78360 bracelet. The 16710 was available with different bezel options but this one has just been fitted with a “new old stock” version of its signature red / black insert, known as the “Coke” bezel by collectors. Having a case number in the S4xxxxx range, this will be a circa 1994 watch. At that time the plain Oyster bracelet was a standard option and the “S10” clasp code on this one denotes October 1994 manufacture, indicating that it is original to the watch. Showing a few signs of its age, it comes with its original GMT-Master booklet and numbered green swing-tag, Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The cheapest NEW equivalent is now £7,150 but these earlier models have increasingly attracted a following of their own.On Deposit - SALE AGREED£3,899 Stock number: 52-09-022

Collectors, are you ready?
2004 / F-case number “Anniversary” Rolex Submariner Date model 16610 LV, with Mark 1 dial and FLAT FOUR* bezel insert! Fresh from Rolex UK service, in service stickers with box & original papers etc! This stainless steel watch is an F61xxxx case-number example in excellent condition with both boxes (outer stickered “16610”), both “Your Oyster” and “Rolex Submariner” booklets, both swing-tags (the green specifying “16610LV”), original Rolex papers from Dubai dated October 2004, Rolex calendar card 2005/2006, novelty anchor, bezel protector, the Rolex UK service card dated August 2018 and original invoice for £981.35 (both also specifying that it is a 16610LV). The dial may be identified as the Mark 1 most easily by looking at the wide “SWISS MADE” text at 6 o’clock. The bezel insert, glass and crown have all been replaced at service. Correctly, this version has a plain, un-numbered inner rehaut. The new equivalent has just increased to £6,950 but these older models have been increasingly sought after since they were discontinued some years ago. Please ask one of the Rolex-trained specialists in the Miltons watch team to discuss this watch with you. Further photographs including a macro-lens close-up of the figure “4” may be seen by clicking through the main image.
* The so-called “Flat Four” (or “Fat Four”) bezel inserts are identified by looking closely at the figure “4” in “40” on the bezel insert. If the shape of the green area enclosed by the body of the four has a flat top, as here, then it is a “Flat Four.” If instead it comes to a point, creating a trianglular shape inside the “4,” then it is a “Thin Four” insert. Do not confuse the important, internal shape with the external top-line of the figure “4” itself, as the latter is flat in all versions. The “Flat Four” inserts have become increasingly sought after by collectors, having apparently been produced for only a short time and fitted to the earliest examples of this model, specifically Y to F case number watches circa 2004. If owners lost or damaged one of those original inserts, it would previously as a matter of routine have been replaced with a “Thin Four” insert. What is extraordinary here is that the “Flat Four” insert was supplied and fitted by Rolex UK in 2018, long after it is though such inserts had all been used up. Close examination shows that this may be a new version of the “Flat Four,” marginally different in the subtlest of ways from the early ones. Is it a newly-released service part? If so, will it be fitted to all 16610LVs, or only those early examples like this for which a “Flat Four” would be correct? Not wishing simply to sell such a desirable piece without disclosure or comment about this unusual part, I started discussions on two specialist watch fora, both of which you can read with single clicks here: 2018 “Flat Four” discussion on tz-uk and here: similar discussion on rolexforums. At the time of writing it seems no one is certain what to make of it. Is it an old part that we were just lucky to be given? Is it a part that they can release to owners of correct, early LVs that would have had a “Flat Four?” Is it instead a new, standard part that will be fitted to all 16610 LVs from now? What effect will that have on values, for both early ones that should have such an insert and later watches which correctly did not? We cannot know, but invite potential purchasers to follow as much due diligence as we have. Reflecting the uncertainty about Rolex and this hitherto-unseen insert, we are pricing the watch for a little less than if it had one of the circa-2004 originals. On Deposit - SALE AGREED£10,499 Stock number: 52-06-032
Gent's 18ct yellow gold Rolex Yachtmaster model 16628B with WHITE dial on Oysterlock 78768B bracelet. Comes with 16628 box-set, Yachtmaster booklet, our own warranty card and the Rolex UK papers from a £916 service / new glass, crown and spring-bars in 2013, after which it has not been worn! The case even retains its service stickers – our previous client simply asked us to store it for him in our safes. Please note: this watch has its U940xxx case number presented between the lugs at six o'clock in what we consider a slightly unusual style. We drew this specifically to the attention of Rolex UK but they have been happy to accept it for service and record that number as being correct. The bargain price reflects the fact that the bracelet shows signs of denting, repair and metal staining. The last NEW RRP was £20,800 . . . and most of the range has increased in price by about 10% since then!SOLD£999 Stock number: Call the Miltons Watch Team
Obtained from a Rolex main agent! One striking Rolex Cosmograph Daytona DIAL intended for models with the 4130 calibre movement in “Everose” (18ct rose gold) i.e. the 116505 and the 116515. A replacement dial is not usually available except as part of a full service by Rolex UK, typically incurring work that you might not otherwise need – and at some price! Tudor has for many years been celebrated as Rolex’s “lower-price-point” brand, but it now attracts many followers in its own right. This particular model is one of several recent launches which very successfully pick up design features from popular models of the last century. In some cases those older watches are now worth a multiple of the price of a new one!Stock number:
Daytona destruction! Who takes a good watch and messes about with it, such that it loses most of its inherent qualities and will now be almost unserviceable? We do not like the third-party, unofficial trade in “bespoke” pieces like this watch (originally a steel Rolex Daytona 116520), that seem designed for buyers with more money than sense or taste. The poor quality skeleton dial, failing bezel and generic rubber strap (not shown) all destroy value. Left alone, this watch might by now have been worth a five figure sum. Chopped apart and with inferior, non-Rolex parts added it will costs thousands to restore and its value in this form is a fraction of what it could have been.NOT for sale£10,499 Stock number: 12-72-010
Latest model Red SeaDweller “SD43 / SD50” – available today, BARELY WORN and with NO silly nonsense about the warranty card being withheld*! Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 model 126600 with red text dial unique to this version, on Oyster Glidelock 97220 bracelet. The watch has been worn, but retains a number of its delivery stickers. We are selling it at a premium to the list price. Ask for our specialist watch team to discuss this watch with you. The 43mm model, launched after 50 years of the Sea-Dweller line (hence the SD43 / SD50 names variously given to it by fans), is one of many steel Professional models that are difficult to source at the moment. Comes with original boxes, SeaDweller booklet, green swing-tag and international warranty card dated October 2017! The NEW RRP is £8,700 and clearly if you could obtain one for that price then you should. Good luck!
* While their clients have to wait months or years for certain models in the stainless steel Professional series of watches, some Rolex main agents are now stripping new watches of delivery stickers, keeping swing-tags and refusing to supply the warranty card until a year or more after sale. This is an attempt to hinder the premium resale or “grey market” in the watches which their very lack of supply causes. On Deposit - SALE AGREED£11,699 Stock number: 10-62-026
