Collectible example, with original papers ! Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA model 16523 in stainless steel and yellow metal on Oyster 78393 bracelet with champagne dial. Comes with polished dark wood / green Jubilee outer box set, Cosmograph Daytona booklet (accessories which are themselves worth several hundred pounds!), red chronometer swing-tag and international Rolex papers dated June 1995. It is in very pleasing condition after the previous owner spent £1,052 having it serviced at Perpetual Time in Liverpool in March 2021, after which it has spent most time in our pawnbroking safes. The main case and bezel are surprisingly good for a watch of this age while the bracelet shows only moderate wear, but we do note some signs of ageing to the dial under magnification. The new equivalent is now £17,800 but these earlier models with their Zenith-derived 4030 calibre Rolex movement have a market all of their own.
