£5,699 Stock number: 50-95-02736mm bicolour Rolex Datejust “Turn-o-Graph” model 16263 with smart, pale champagne / baton dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, UK papers from Goldsmiths in Wigan dated December 1992 and a Rolex UK service card dated March 2001. We know that it also had a £520 service in 2017 at “Perpetual Time” in Liverpool, when a generic glass (not by Rolex) was fitted. This is a slightly unusual and increasingly collectible model, showing only moderate signs of age / wear to the bracelet and some wear to the bezel detail, which we have reflected in the price. The last NEW equivalent finally appeared in Rolex UK’s November 2016 price list at £8,200 ! Please note that while this model features a time-lapse bezel it is essentially a dress watch. Clients needing a more robust time-piece with this feature should consider the Rolex Submariner or Yachtmaster ranges.

Stainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA D-Blue (the so-called “James Cameron”) model 126660 with distinctive, graduated blue-black / green text dial, on Oyster Glidelock 98220 bracelet. The model remains very popular and was always hard to source new in the UK. Comes with original boxes, DeepSea booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated February 2021. The 18238 with its 3155 calibre movement was the first model to feature the “double quick-set” feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. * We note that the date-code on the clasp indicates that this part is from around 1980 while the “53” end-links would more commonly be found on bracelets for 1803 model Day-Dates, so we believe the bracelet has been swapped from an earlier watch and is possibly restored, which is reflected in the price. These models were launched in 2012 and are just as likely to be worn by gents or ladies now. This 3035 calibre watch is in surprisingly nice condition for its age with only moderate wear to the bracelet. It has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 with black “SWISS MADE” dial and so-called “COKE” red / black bezel insert on Oysterlock 78790A bracelet. This lovely 3185-calibre model comes with Rolex 16710 boxes, GMT-Master booklet, red swing-tag and UK papers from BOODLE & DUNTHORNE LTD dated September 2000. It is in very pleasing condition, the bezel and bracelet showing moderate signs of age and wear. The market for the NEW, heavy-weight steel GMT-Masters went mad over the last ten years but these slightly slimmer, previous-generation models enjoyed a very strong market that has been all their own.

£18,999 Stock number: 52-85-015Collectible model, still in stickers from 2019 Rolex service : stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA 16520 with correct, Zenith-derived Rolex movement ! Stainless steel Cosmograph Daytona model 16520 with T83xxxx case number from approx 1997. Fitted with Oysterlock 78390 bracelet on 503 end-links, its “Z4” clasp date code suggesting this is original to the watch. Has correct black dial, one of the last tritium ones, with “6” the correct way up on the sub-dial (click through main picture for more images)…and this is of the type from which “Patrizzi” dials can be found. In excellent condition with minimal signs of age to the dial / hands and a sensitively polished bezel. Comes with a Rolex 16520 box-set and very rare COSMOGRAPH Daytona booklet in English with print-code from 1990, depicting the earliest examples with “floating text” dial (which preceded this watch’s dial). That booklet alone can sell for hundreds of pounds ! It also has a Rolex UK service card dated July 2019, a redacted copy of the corresponding service invoice (describing full service, new glass, pushers and crown at a cost of £1,321), red COSC swing-tag and our own warranty card. There is also a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked the watch with them (Rolex UK will also have checked it against their own records, before service). The red striped Rolex service stickers are still in place on the case sides and back ! These first automatic Daytonas, with Zenith-based Rolex 4030 calibre movement, have proved particularly popular with a growing generation of collectors. While a Rolex UK service can make many watches look fantastic, this one also went unworn for some years.

£7,499 Stock number: 52-85-013Colourful variant, no longer offered by Rolex ! 40mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400GV on Oyster 72400 bracelet with “Z-Blue” / index dial, orange “lightning bolt” seconds hand and green-tinted synthetic sapphire glass. In excellent condition, it comes with Rolex boxes, Milgauss booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range over 15 years ago but this last version with its striking green glass / blue dial was especially popular. When it last appeared in UK price lists the NEW RRP was £7,850, but like many of the more unusual steel Professional models, it was always a very hard watch to source at main agents. Interest has only increased now production seems to have stopped.

Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 5500 with very attractive silver / Arabic numeral / SWISS dial. At some point it has been fitted with a modern, sturdier Rolex Oyster 78350 bracelet than would originally have been supplied. It is also now fitted with a generic glass, not by Rolex. In very pleasing condition, this 1960s watch ( case back internally coded for the final quarter of 1963) comes with original UK “Guarantee and At Your Service” booklet (which contains instructions) dated April 1967 at Kenworthys of Ashton-Under-Lyne, and a generic presentation box. This is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Boxes from c.2004-2010 came with a solid, oval watch cushion that was not well suited to ladies’ watches with short bracelets.
Boxes from c.2010-2014 came with a squashy “E”-shape cushion that would hold most watches comfortably.
Each box or set will be priced individually to reflect condition, completeness etc and sold as it is.
We will not swap parts from one box or set to another.
Rolex main agents often grabbed the first box that came to hand when selling a watch, but steel watches were commonly intended to come in smaller boxes / bicolour watches in medium.

The NEW equivalent is now £9,000 but both versions remain among the most popular Rolex models and availability of new Submariners seems limited. £2,699 Stock number: 50-81-034Gent’s stainless steel 41mm Omega Seamaster Professional 300m co-axial automatic bracelet watch, model 212.30.41.20.01.003 with black dial and ceramic bezel insert. This beautiful example comes with impressive box set, instruction book, matching Omega cards from Goldsmiths dated July 2019 and the original Omega model specification sheet. It is in excellent condition, having spent much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes. The lovely box still comes with its white outer carton, but the fold-down flap to the latter has (as often) suffered from wear and is held in place with sticky tape.

Has Rolex boxes, Yachtmaster booklet, numbered green swing-tag and UK papers dated August 2006. It has just enjoyed a full, £700 movement overhaul through a Rolex main agent’s in-house service facility in August 2024. This is a fine-looking watch but there are signs of general wear, especially in the bracelet, which are fully reflected in this keen price. The new equivalent is now £10,500 !

£7,499 Stock number: 50-79-063Colourful variant, no longer offered by Rolex ! 40mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400GV on Oyster 72400 bracelet with black / index dial, orange “lightning bolt” seconds hand / quarter markers and green-tinted synthetic sapphire glass. Has Rolex boxes, Milgauss booklet, red swing-tag and international Rolex warranty card dated September 2009. In excellent condition, although we do note very minor, superficial wear to the glass. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range over 15 years ago but this last version with its striking green glass was especially popular. When it last appeared in UK price lists the NEW RRP was £7,850, but like many of the more unusual steel Professional models, it was usually a very hard watch to source at main agents. Interest has only increased now production seems to have stopped.

In very pleasing condition, this early 1980s watch comes with both boxes, YOUR ROLEX OYSTER booklet and original, punched Rolex papers. It is not clear whether these papers are dated April 1982 or April 1984. This is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Our Watch Team would be delighted to show you how to unscrew the crown, to set the time and (if necessary) to wind it manually.

Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 model 126600 with red text on the dial that is unique to this version, on Oyster Glidelock 97220 bracelet. Comes with both boxes, SeaDweller booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card from Hong Kong dated February 2019. The 43mm model, launched after 50 years of the Sea-Dweller line (hence the SD43 / SD50 names variously given to it by fans), is one of many steel Professional models that remains difficult to source. The NEW RRP is now £11,750 . . . but you may find it hard to find one.
