Vintage 26mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust in 18ct yellow gold, model 6916 with smart, silvery-gold colour / diamond dot dial on Jubilee 6251 bracelet. This late 1970s model is in very pleasing condition. It comes with later boxes and Your Rolex Oyster booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The watch has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. The bracelet shows some signs of its age, but with sensible wear it should have plenty of life in it yet. When one needs to change the date on this 2030-series calibre model, one simply advances the main hands forwards or backwards past midnight. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £23,600!
Desirable “four-line” Rolex Submariner with box, warranty card etc. Stainless steel Rolex non-date Submariner model 14060M with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This G-series watch with four-line “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” text and numbered inner rehaut is one of the very last examples of what has in recent years become an extremely desirable model. Earlier versions did not feature the additional SCOC text on the dial. It is in excellent condition, having been serviced by Rolex UK in 2019 when a new glass was also fitted. Comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, numbered green swing-tag, international Rolex warranty card dated March 2013 and Rolex UK service card dated April 2019. It seems that today’s market increasingly appreciates the proportions and value of this generation of Rolex sports models. We are selling it at a significant premium to the list price of the fatter, new equivalent which is now £7,700 — if only you could find one.

26mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 79173 with very popular “vignette” graduated red / diamond dot dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, a Rolex UK service card dated August 2013, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The dial is of a style slightly older than the watch and was probably fitted retrospectively at client request. This year 2000 model is in very pleasing condition but we do note wear to the bracelet, reflected in the price. The NEW equivalent is now £10,550!
36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18238 in 18ct yellow gold on President 8385 bracelet with classic champagne / baton dial. This 1988 model comes with later Rolex boxes, correct Day-Date booklet (itself now increasingly valuable!), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is in very good condition but we do note that the glass is a generic replacement, not by Rolex. The 18238 with its 3155 calibre movement was the first model to feature the double quick-set feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. The NEW equivalent is now £29,500!

Gent’s bicolour Cartier Santos automatic bracelet watch, case reference 2319 with silver / roman numeral dial. In very good condition, it comes with Cartier box, instruction book, our own warrany card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Please note (1) this is NOT sold as a water-proof watch (2) such Cartiers are essentially very stylish DRESS watches; the automatic movements inside them are rarely perfect time-keepers and can seem noisy when the self-winding rotor turns (3) we would normally advise that anything between – 10 to + 15 seconds per day should be expected on these models, even after a service. The nearest new equivalent is now £8,900 !
SOLD36mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 16233 on Jubilee 62523 bracelet with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial. Stainless steel Rolex non-date Submariner model 14060M with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This random case number watch with four-line “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” text and numbered inner rehaut is one of the very last examples of what has in recent years become an extremely desirable model. Earlier versions did not feature the additional SCOC text on the dial. It is in excellent condition with only moderate signs of wear and comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated March 2014. That is some two years after the subsequent model had been introduced! It seems that today’s market increasingly appreciates the proportions and value of this generation of Rolex sports models. We are selling it at a significant premium to the list price of the fatter, new equivalent which is now £7,500 — if only you could find one.

31mm / mid-size stainless steel Rolex Datejust model 6824 with classic silver / baton dial on Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Dating from around 1981, this watch is in very pleasing condition. Unusually, it has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance (as always, provided the crown is screwed down). Comes with a later Rolex box, Oyster booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This model correctly has the 2000-series calibre Rolex movement with no “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month. Our Rolex-trained specialists Phil or Paul will be delighted to demonstrate how to set it. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £5,900 !
SOLDStainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA model 116660 with black dial on Oyster Glidelock 98210 bracelet. In very good condition with only superficial wear to the glass and bezel. It has both boxes, DeepSea booklet, red swing-tag and UK warranty card from David M. Robinson dated July 2011. The NEW equivalent (ref. 136660) is now £11,950 – though finding one can be the greater problem!
