Classic Rolex Day-Date with what is now a popular “retro” look ! 36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18078 in 18ct yellow gold with sparkling champagne / diamond dot dial on President 8723 bracelet (concealed clasp version). This 1986 model with original BARK finish to bezel and bracelet is in very pleasing condition. It shows surprisingly little sign of wear to the bracelet, just a small bump on the underside of a link near the 12 o’clock end, where it cannot be seen once on the wrist, and we note that a generic glass (not by Rolex) has been fitted. Comes with large, brown “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct 1986 Day-Date booklet ( accessories which are themselves now quite valuable ! ), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £34,600 and good, pre-owned examples are difficult to find.

The star motif on the dial, unique to this special edition, reflects the representation of the constellation Ursa Major on their regimental badge.
