Classic 1960s vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision – still with original UK papers ! Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 5500 with very attractive silver / Arabic numeral / SWISS dial. At some point it has been fitted with a modern, sturdier Rolex Oyster 78350 bracelet than would originally have been supplied. It is also now fitted with a generic glass, not by Rolex. In very pleasing condition, this 1960s watch ( case back internally coded for the final quarter of 1963) comes with original UK “Guarantee and At Your Service” booklet (which contains instructions) dated April 1967 at Kenworthys of Ashton-Under-Lyne, and a generic presentation box. This is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Our Watch Team would be delighted to show you how to unscrew the crown, to set the time and (if necessary) to wind it manually.

    • One RARE, diamond dot dial for Rolex OYSTERQUARTZ Day-Date, intended for models such as the 19018 in 18ct yellow gold. A replacement dial may still be available, but only as part of a full service by Rolex UK, typically incurring work that you might not otherwise need – and at some price!
