This 854xxxxx case number watch is one of the first sapphire glass Sea-Dwellers and comes with original boxes and UK papers from David M. Robinson dated January 1987, the green plastic wallet in which they came, the alternate extension link and some David M. Robinson purchase / warranty papers detailing the original purchase price . . . £805! The bracelet and bezel insert are now showing their age but can be replaced, at a price. The dial is worthy of greater comment: over 27 years it has “marbled” evenly, acquiring an almost tropical or brown hue, currently rather in contrast to the newer set of bright white hands. Definitely one for a collector, either to keep as it is or to restore sympathetically. There aren't many 16660s on the market with their original papers now!
