Brilliant example of a popular, short-lived model ! Stainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 model 116600 with black dial and ceramic bezel insert on Oyster Glidelock 97400 bracelet. Comes with both boxes, Sea-Dweller 4000 booklet, green chronometer swing-tag, UK warranty card from Fattorini the Jeweller in Harrogate dated August 2015 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2019. Rolex fans were delighted when the company re-introduced an SD4000 into the range, after the bulk of the DeepSea 116660 version had put off so many ordinary buyers. The more practical size of this model, the lack of a sometimes-annoying “cyclops” magnifying lens and 60-minute marked bezel (a nod to Rolex’s military past) were instant hits. The NEW equivalent is now £11,650 (if you can find one….), but these discontinued models have a market all of their own.
