£6,999 Stock number: 82-43-007FANTASTIC VALUE ! Stainless steel Rolex Submariner non-date model 14060M with black “two-line” dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This 2001 model is one of the earliest 14060s with the “M” suffix, denoting the presence of the 3130 calibre movement, but not yet marked as a chronometer on the dial. It is in very good order with only moderate signs of age and wear to the bezel insert. The glass is generic (not by Rolex), but does appear to be a high quality part. Comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The new, fatter, ceramic bezel version now has an RRP of £8,450 but these earlier models have an appeal and market of their own. Available from Miltons of Church Street, Liverpool city centre.

£16,799 Stock number: 82-55-022July 2021 watch in superb condition….and now a discontinued model ! 44mm stainless steel and rose metal Rolex Yachtmaster II model 116681M with white dial and blue ceramic bezel on Oysterlock 78211 bracelet. This 4161 calibre model has both boxes, Yachtmaster II booklet, both swing-tags and international Rolex warranty card dated July 2021. It is the revised model with triangle at 12 and “Mercedes” hands, rather than the plainer dial and blue hands of earlier examples. This is a complicated watch but happily it retains the valuable instruction booklet. The NEW RRP in early 2024 was £21,750 but availability of most professional models had been poor over recent years and the model has now been discontinued, which commonly provokes collector interest. This 1986 model with original BARK finish to bezel and bracelet is in very pleasing condition. It shows surprisingly little sign of wear to the bracelet, just a small bump on the underside of a link near the 12 o’clock end, where it cannot be seen once on the wrist, and we note that a generic glass (not by Rolex) has been fitted. Comes with large, brown “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct 1986 Day-Date booklet ( accessories which are themselves now quite valuable ! ), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Launched around the 60th anniversary of the very first Day-Date, it remains a current and very popular model. Having just had a new glass fitted through a Rolex main agent it is in beautiful condition after spending much of its short life in our pawnbroking safes, coming with large Rolex boxes, Day-Date booklet, green swing-tag and international Rolex warranty card dated March 2021. £14,399 Stock number: 50-79-060Collectible example, with original papers ! Rolex Cosmograph DAYTONA model 16523 in stainless steel and yellow metal on Oyster 78393 bracelet with champagne dial. Comes with polished dark wood / green Jubilee outer box set, Cosmograph Daytona booklet (accessories which are themselves worth several hundred pounds!), red chronometer swing-tag and international Rolex papers dated June 1995. It is in very pleasing condition after the previous owner spent £1,052 having it serviced at Perpetual Time in Liverpool in March 2021, after which it has spent most time in our pawnbroking safes. The main case and bezel are surprisingly good for a watch of this age while the bracelet shows only moderate wear, but we do note some signs of ageing to the dial under magnification. The new equivalent is now £18,950 but these earlier models with their Zenith-derived 4030 calibre Rolex movement have a market all of their own. In excellent condition, it comes with Rolex boxes, Your Rolex Oyster booklet and UK papers from Charles Fox in Bournemouth dated June 1991. A NEW Air-King now costs £6,500 if you can find one, but realistically a closer new equivalent may be the plain Oyster Perpetual 34 model 124200 at £5,000….neither of which may be readily available at the time of writing.

£5,399 Stock number: 50-77-08436mm Rolex Datejust in stainless steel and white metal, model 16234 with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial on Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Comes with later Rolex box, Your Rolex Oyster booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This X-series watch dates from the 1990s and is in very good condition for its age, but the price reflects the facts that under magnification there are some signs of ageing to the dial and that the glass is a generic replacement, not by Rolex. Demand for such models in the steel Professional range remains strong and residual prices reflect that. The RRP of a NEW 40mm equivalent is now £6,650 – but it may be difficult to find one !
