Unusual “hybrid” specification, for those who fancy something different! 26mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 69173 with silver / concentric circles / arabic numeral dial, on a later, stainless steel Rolex bracelet. Comes with original 69173 boxes, Datejust booklet, numbered green swing-tag, UK papers from Charles Fox in Bournemouth dated December 1987 and Rolex UK service slips from 1993 and 1999. The bicolour 62523 reference Jubilee bracelets originally fitted on these models often suffered if worn constantly and this one has been replaced with a genuine, all-steel Rolex Oyster 78240 bracelet from around 2002, which is in superb condition! Typically, a steel bracelet would be fitted because the cost of replacing the old, bicolour one like-for-like was deemed too expensive by its owner. We note that the dial, too, has been replaced with one of the more striking versions of recent years. Priced keenly to reflect its altered specification, this watch represents an unusual and great value Rolex Datejust.
