26mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 69173 with silver Jubilee / diamond dot dial in the newer style with larger settings, on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. This early 1990s model is in lovely condition with Rolex 69173 boxes, Oyster booklet and original papers from Strang the Jeweller. Someone has tried to “doctor” the date on these papers but we believe it is correctly April 1992. The NEW equivalent is now £8,600! Available from Miltons of Church Street, Liverpool city centre.

This watch began its life with a fluted, white metal bezel but at some point this has been swapped for the plain steel, engine-turned bezel from a contemporary 69240 model.     • Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 116710BLNR with black dial / blue and black ceramic bezel insert on Oysterlock 78200 bracelet. This model is currently exceptionally popular, having been released only in 2013 and yet already nicknamed the Bruiser or Batman GMT by fans because of its distinctive bezel colours. This one is in beautiful condition and comes with original boxes, GMT-Master II booklet, numbered green swing-tag, red chronometer tag and UK warranty card dated October 2014. The NEW RRP of £5,950 is slightly higher than that of the all-black ceramic version, whose bezel is not quite so demanding to manufacture.
