Stainless steel Rolex Explorer model 114270 with classic black / 3-6-9 “SWISS MADE” dial and lasered coronet glass, on Oysterlock 78690 SEL bracelet. In outstanding condition with Rolex boxes, Explorer booklet, red swing-tag and UK papers from John Pass the Jeweller dated December 2003. Delivery stickers remain on the case-back, case-sides and bracelet! This Y67xxxx case number watch is from the “classic” generation before the numbered inner rehauts were introduced. In recent years the 114270 has become an extremely desirable model and it seems that the market increasingly appreciates the value of this generation of Rolex sports models. We are selling it at a significant premium to the list price of the new equivalent which is now £6,000 — if only you could find one. This watch attracts collector interest in its unworn, stickered state. Please note that removing the stickers and / or wearing it may reduce its value somewhat.

    • Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with bright white dial / orange indices and “lightning” seconds hand on Oyster 72400 bracelet. Complete with boxes, Milgauss booklet, red swing-tag & international warranty card dated May 2011, though the watch was in fact manufactured a couple of years earlier. This is an outstanding example! The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part as the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland but has since won desirability in its own right. This watch is one of the newer versions launched at Basel in 2007. Many clients love the Milgauss simply for being such a big watch, with its lovely, clear dial options and funky colour accents. The NEW RRP is now £5,150.
