This V77xxxx case number example is the desirable, end-of-line variant with upgraded 3186 calibre movement and engraved inner rehaut. In very pleasing condition with only moderate wear to the bezel, it has both boxes, Explorer booklet and UK warranty card from Laing the Jeweller dated January 2011. The NEW equivalent is now £6,650 but these previous-generation models (and especially the 3186 calibre variant) have increasingly attracted a market all of their own.

In very good condition, it comes with original Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, numbered green tag, UK warranty card from Pyke & Sons in Birkenhead dated May 2010 and a Rolex UK service card dated May 2017, when it appears to have enjoyed £505 of work carried out through Mappin & Webb in Chester. The larger, NEW equivalent is now £7,300 (if you can find one!), but these earlier models have proved increasingly popular in their own right.
