31mm / mid-size Rolex Datejust in 18ct yellow gold, model 68278 with sparkling champagne / diamond dot dial on President 8389 bracelet. The watch has also been fitted previously with a custom-made diamond-set bezel, NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such individual parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one already fitted like this there always seems to be a queue of buyers! This early 1980s model is in pleasing condition, but we do note some general signs of age and distortion to the bracelet, reflected in the price. It comes with a later Rolex box, Datejust booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The NEW equivalent model 278278 (with just a plain gold, fluted bezel) is now £25,050!
