26mm Rolex Datejust in 18ct yellow gold, model 69178 with bronze / diamond dot dial on President 8570 bracelet. Dials with text printed in pale ink such as this are sometimes referred to as “ghost” dials, and this one is particularly attractive because the diamonds in their white metal settings stand out prominently against the darker background. In very good condition, the watch comes with Datejust booklet, international Rolex papers dated July 1989 and Rolex UK service slips dated February 2005 and November 2015. It comes in a large, embroidered Rolex presentation box, but we note that the cushion inside is a generic replacement. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £22,600! We would generally recommend that any gold Rolex of this age should be considered a dress watch, not intended for hard wear.

Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93250 bracelet. In very good condition, it comes with original Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, numbered green tag, UK warranty card from Pyke & Sons in Birkenhead dated May 2010 and a Rolex UK service card dated May 2017, when it appears to have enjoyed £505 of work carried out through Mappin & Webb in Chester. The larger, NEW equivalent is now £7,300 (if you can find one!), but these earlier models have proved increasingly popular in their own right.
