Rare, transitional model, still with UK papers! Bicolour Rolex GMT-Master model 16753 with black dial on Oyster 78363 bracelet. This model was made for a short period in the 1980s, introducing the quick-set date change facility but preceding the introduction of synthetic sapphire glass. Comes with a period-correct Rolex 16753-stickered box set, UK papers dated September 1987 in plastic pouch (with corresponding, numbered sticker) and two Rolex UK service slips from 1997 and 1999. The watch is in very pleasing condition but with some signs of age / wear, including to the glass and bracelet. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £12,200 but this piece’s vintage appeal, accompanying accessories and lack of availability give it a market of its own. Please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant.
