36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18238 in 18ct yellow gold on President 8385 bracelet with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial in the older style (around this time, Rolex moved to a heavier style of diamond setting). In very good condition, this watch comes with large “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct Day-Date booklet (itself now increasingly valuable!), numbered green swing-tag, original UK papers from Goldsmiths dated February 1996 and a Rolex UK service card dated November 2018. The 18238 with its 3155 calibre movement was the first model to feature the double quick-set feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. The NEW equivalent is now £29,700!

In very good condition, it comes with Breitling boxes, Aerospace instruction booklet, numbered chronometer certificate, “certificat de serie limitee,” UK warranty booklet from Andrew Michael’s Jewellers in Newark dated October 2013, numbered swing-tag and delivery bezel protector. This limited run celebrates the RAF’s famous 7 Squadron, whose activities you read about here and here. The star motif on the dial, unique to this special edition, reflects the representation of the constellation Ursa Major on their regimental badge.
