“Buckley” dial Datejust with papers from 1982. 36mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 16030 with smart grey / roman numeral so-called “Buckley” dial * on Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Comes with its original papers from October 1982, some Rolex UK service papers from 1994 and what appears to be its original Rolex box. In very good condition for its age but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. This model correctly has the 3035 calibre version of the “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, where the user turns the crown backwards in its mid-position to advance the date. Our Rolex-trained specialists Phil or Paul will be delighted to demonstrate. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £6,250 !
* These early Roman numeral dials with thin, painted numbers have become known as “Buckley dials” among collectors, associated as they are with the New York dealer John Buckley, an “internet friend” of our Managing Director.
