Stainless steel Rolex Explorer II model 16570 T with black “SWISS MADE” dial on Oysterlock 78790A bracelet. This is an F693xxx case number watch from around 2005. It shows only superficial signs of wear and comes with Rolex boxes, Explorer booklet, red swing-tag, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The latest, fatter case model now has an RRP of £7,900 but all the earlier generations of professional models like this are attracting great interest in their own right. In very good condition, it comes with Breitling boxes, Aerospace instruction booklet, numbered chronometer certificate, “certificat de serie limitee,” UK warranty booklet from Andrew Michael’s Jewellers in Newark dated October 2013, numbered swing-tag and delivery bezel protector. This limited run celebrates the RAF’s famous 7 Squadron, whose activities you read about here and here. The star motif on the dial, unique to this special edition, reflects the representation of the constellation Ursa Major on their regimental badge.
