Rolex fans were delighted when the company re-introduced an SD4000 into the range, after the bulk of the DeepSea 116660 version had put off so many ordinary buyers. The more practical size of this model, the lack of a sometimes-annoying cyclops magnifying lens as found on the Date Submariners and the full, 60-minute marked bezel (a nod to Rolex’s military past) were instant hits. Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93250 bracelet. In very good condition, it comes with original Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, numbered green tag, UK warranty card from Pyke & Sons in Birkenhead dated May 2010 and a Rolex UK service card dated May 2017, when it appears to have enjoyed £505 of work carried out through Mappin & Webb in Chester.     • Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 116710BLNR with black dial / blue and black ceramic bezel insert on Oysterlock 78200 bracelet. This model is currently exceptionally popular, having been released only in 2013 and yet already nicknamed the Bruiser or Batman GMT by fans because of its distinctive bezel colours. This one is in beautiful condition and comes with original boxes, GMT-Master II booklet, numbered green swing-tag, red chronometer tag and UK warranty card dated October 2014. The NEW RRP of £5,950 is slightly higher than that of the all-black ceramic version, whose bezel is not quite so demanding to manufacture.
