Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with black / index baton dial having orange detail and “lightning” seconds hand, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. In lovely condition with boxes, Milgauss booklet, green swing-tag, UK warranty card from John Pass in Crewe dated May 2008 and a Rolex UK service card dated September 2014. The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part in the form of the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland but has since won desirability in its own right. This watch is one of the newer versions launched at Basel in 2007. Many clients love the Milgauss simply for being such a big watch, with its lovely, clear dial options and funky colour accents. This specific model now appears to be discontinued. The last NEW equivalent RRP was £5,650 but in October 2018 Rolex UK raised their prices by around a further 5%!
