Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with black / index baton dial having orange detail and “lightning” seconds hand, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. In superb condition with boxes, Milgauss booklet and UK warranty card from Aurum Group (specifically their Goldsmiths store in Liverpool One) dated April 2010. The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part in the form of the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland but has since won desirability in its own right. This watch is one of the newer versions launched at Basel in 2007. Many clients love the Milgauss simply for being such a big watch, with its lovely, clear dial options and funky colour accents. This specific model now appears to be discontinued. The last NEW equivalent RRP was £5,650 but in October 2018 Rolex UK raised their prices by around a further 5%! Available from Miltons of Chester, under the famous clock.

    • Bicolour Datejust model 6827 (3) from approx 1980 with smart blue / baton dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. This is one of the older models with no quick-set date-change feature and the softer, acrylic glass, which we advise should no longer be considered water-resistant.     • Lady’s stainless steel Oyster Perpetual DATE model 69174 from the late 1980s, on Jubilee 62510 bracelet. This watch began its life with a fluted, white metal bezel but at some point this has been swapped for the plain steel, engine-turned bezel from a contemporary 69240 model. Has just had a full movement service and comes with an Oyster booklet, red swing-tag, our own presentation box and warranty card. The NEW equivalent is now £4,150 but this watch has been priced very keenly to reflect its age and condition.
