36mm Rolex Day-Date model 18238 in 18ct yellow gold with sparkling silver / diamond dot dial on President 8385 bracelet. In excellent condition for its age, this watch comes with large Rolex 18238 boxes, Day-Date booklet, numbered green swing-tag and original, punched papers from Oman. These papers are dated October 1990 (which is consistent with the watch’s L537xxx case number), but someone has subsequently tried to make the date look like “1999”, as if the watch were much newer. We have now added “1990” clearly on the papers to prevent any later misunderstanding. The 18238 was the first model to feature the double quick-set feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date, thanks to its 3155 calibre movement. The NEW equivalent is now £29,100!
