This gold and diamond Rolex certainly makes a statement….we’re just not quite sure what that statement is! Gent’s 18ct yellow gold and diamond Rolex Cellini mechanical (i.e. requiring daily manual winding) dress watch model 4630/8 on integral fine Milanese / ribbon-style bracelet with impressive diamond bezel and 1601 calibre Rolex movement. This watch is in exceptional condition, coming with original Cellini box-set (the cardboard outer carton is very tatty and with signs of some repair, but the main box is splendid), Cellini booklet, hand-written Rolex papers from David M. Robinson dated 20th May 1988 in original green plastic wallet and a valuation from DMR dated just days later. This slim, wind-up watch (not an Oyster model) was intended for dress wear and is not water-proof. We certainly wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear. It now seems to epitomise the flamboyant style of the 1980s, but value here lies in its accessories and the exceptional condition. The bracelet length remains that for a large wrist. While it has three positions for minor adjustment within the double-leaf clasp, we will NOT otherwise adjust the size of the bracelet. This watch could be considered by a collector or someone with a suitably large wrist who might treasure and wear it for a few very special occasions every year. Please ask to speak about this watch with Phil or Paul in the Miltons Watch Team, as both are former managers of Rolex main agents….who well remember the 1980s !
