36mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 16233 with silver / diamond dot dial, now fitted with a NEW, stainless steel Rolex bracelet (still in stickers from the factory). The bicolour 62523 reference Jubilee bracelets that were originally fitted on these models often suffered if worn hard, and this watch’s has been replaced with a NEW, genuine, all-steel Rolex Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Often a steel bracelet is retro-fitted because the cost of replacing the old, bicolour one like-for-like is very expensive. The diamond dial is correct for the model but appears to be from a slightly earlier period. It is another, later addition to this watch. Priced to reflect its altered specification, this is an eye-catching Datejust coming with both boxes, Your Oyster booklet, international Rolex papers from Finland dated September 1999 and a Rolex UK service slip dated June 2014.     • Lady’s stainless steel Oyster Perpetual DATE model 69174 from the late 1980s, on Jubilee 62510 bracelet. This watch began its life with a fluted, white metal bezel but at some point this has been swapped for the plain steel, engine-turned bezel from a contemporary 69240 model. Has just had a full movement service and comes with an Oyster booklet, red swing-tag, our own presentation box and warranty card. The NEW equivalent is now £4,150 but this watch has been priced very keenly to reflect its age and condition.

    • Bicolour Datejust model 6827 (3) from approx 1980 with smart blue / baton dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. This is one of the older models with no quick-set date-change feature and the softer, acrylic glass, which we advise should no longer be considered water-resistant. This is a very pleasing watch to look at but there are some signs of its thirty or more years of wear, reflected in this keen price. Has a later box and our own warranty card. The NEW equivalent, much improved as it is, now costs £6,400!
