Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16760 on Oyster 78360 bracelet with black “SWISS-T<25” dial and red / black bezel insert. This is the short-lived transitional model (crudely named the “fat lady” by collectors) with 3085 calibre movement, its R36xxxx case number suggesting it is from 1987. Showing slight signs of its age (including some bumps to the bezel rim) but still a very attractive piece, coming with period Rolex boxes, a GMT-Master booklet from 1989, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It appears from the date code in the bracelet clasp that this part has been replaced at a later date. The current, much fatter new equivalent model is now £8,400 but these earlier models have proved increasingly desirable in their own right.
