Classic manual-wind Rolex Oyster from around 1956 ! Stainless steel ROLEX OYSTER “SHOCK RESISTING” model 6444 / 0 with attractive, textured cream / baton SWISS dial. In very pleasing condition, now fitted on a new ostrich leather strap and steel pin-buckle that are not by Rolex. This is an entry-level model and it should be noted that (1) it needs to be manually wound each day and (2) we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Comes with a Rolex UK service slip from 1988, plain presentation box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Ask for one of our watch specialists to speak with you about older Rolexes, to show you how to unscrew the crown, to set the time, to wind it manually and to explain why a manual-wind model will rarely be as accurate as an automatic.
