36mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 16013 with genuine, old-style yellow / diamond dot dial on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. This circa-1987 model with the 3035 calibre movement is in surprisingly nice condition for its age with only moderate wear to the bracelet. It has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. It comes with a plain presentation box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The new equivalent is now £12,400!

    • Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with bright white dial / orange indices and “lightning” seconds hand on Oyster 72400 bracelet. Complete with boxes, Milgauss booklet, red swing-tag & international warranty card dated May 2011, though the watch was in fact manufactured a couple of years earlier. This is an outstanding example! The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part as the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland but has since won desirability in its own right. This watch is one of the newer versions launched at Basel in 2007. Many clients love the Milgauss simply for being such a big watch, with its lovely, clear dial options and funky colour accents.     • Bicolour Datejust model 79173 with champagne / diamond dial in the later style with larger settings, on Jubilee 62523 bracelet. In very nice condition with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, UK papers from Goldsmiths in Leicester dated March 2003 and a Rolex UK service slip from September 2013. Please note that the papers and service slip have been laminated, having been previously affected by damp. The NEW equivalent is now £7,100! Available from Miltons of Chester, under the famous clock.
