£1,999 Stock number: 12-55-015Classic Rolex from approx 1967! Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual non-date model 1002 with lovely grey-blue / baton dial. This is the chronometer-rated model, as shown by the SCOC text in the lower half of the dial. As often, it seems that its bracelet was up-graded with a new Oyster 78350 fitted around 1997. Upon very close inspection the dial shows some minor signs of age, but this is an outstanding “entry-level” Oyster Perpetual. Please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Comes with our own presentation box and warranty card.

In very pleasing condition with only moderate signs of age / wear. Comes with Breitling boxes (showing signs of wear), Chronomat instructions, authorised distributor leaflet, a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them, our own warranty card and an international warranty booklet — though we apply no value to that, as it appears to have been filled in later and may not properly belong with this watch. It’s a fraction of the price of a new model! Please note (1) it is important that you read the instructions fully before setting or using this watch’s complicated movement and (2) extended use of the chronograph function may affect time-keeping. £1,999 Stock number: 52-21-008Lady’s bicolour Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 6917 (3) with white / roman numeral dial. This early 1980s watch was originally supplied on a Jubilee bracelet, but like many its bracelet had reached the end of its life and it is now offered on a brown, leather strap with base-metal pin-buckle that is a generic part, NOT made by Rolex. It has also been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed and modernises the watch. Comes with modern Rolex box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The watch shows some signs of its age and we would no longer guarantee this model to be water resistant, but for a buyer who will wear it sensibly it offers great value. Please note: it comes correctly with the Rolex 2035 calibre movement and as such does not have the “quick-set” feature, which would allow easier correction of the date at the end of a short month; instead one must simply advance or reverse the hands 24 hours to change the date.

Comes in immaculate condition with delivery stickers still on case-sides, original boxes, Oyster booklet, green swing-tag and Rolex USA papers from Schlanderer & Sons dated February 2007, made out to Domino's Pizza. These watches have traditionally been awarded to franchisees of the pizza chain whose sales reached a certain level. Please note that such watches bear a Domino's Pizza logo on the case-back and a plate bearing the same logo rivetted onto the bracelet at six o'clock. These modifications cannot easily be reversed. In beautiful condition with original Cellini boxes, Cellini booklet, numbered green swing-tag and UK warranty card dated July 2010. This is a non-automatic mechanical model which therefore requires manual winding daily and cannot be expected to be as accurate as a quartz or self-winding model. When we bought it, this 1990s watch had UK papers from Boodles dated 1997…..but that certificate was not the one that should have accompanied this watch and had been put with it in error, most likely when first sold. This is a slim, quartz strap watch, not an Oyster model, therefore intended for dress wear and not water-proof. While the strap bears the original, hallmarked 18ct buckle by Rolex, the leather part itself is a generic replacement, not from Rolex. There is also a small chip in the edge of the glass — all factors reflected in the price. The NEW equivalent was last listed with an RRP of £3,600! The warranty booklet shows that it was first sold by Walker & Hall in Maidenhead in August 1996. Mark Worthington Jewellers subsequently sold it in December 2013 for £2,350 after it had enjoyed £783-worth of service work including a new dial, hands, glass and strap. To change the date on this 1520-calibre model, one simply advances the main hands forwards or backwards past midnight. This is a slim, quartz strap watch, not an Oyster model, therefore intended for dress wear and not water-proof. While it retains the original, hallmarked 18ct buckle by Rolex, the strap itself is a generic replacement, not from Rolex. The NEW equivalent was last listed with an RRP of £3,600!
