A most impressive 18ct yellow gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116528 with stunning white mother of pearl / arabic numeral dial on Oysterlock 78498 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet / adjustment leaflet, original UK papers from April 2007, Rolex UK service card dated June 2020, red swing-tag and a new bezel-protector. Rolex UK have just carried out £2,120 of work including a movement overhaul, new glass, crown and bezel. The NEW equivalent watch with a plain dial is now £29,350 but an MoP dial like this would, when last available, have typically added another £1,500 or so to the price! This is a Z-series watch with numbered inner rehaut. A stunning piece with only moderate wear to the bracelet worthy of comment. We would recommend that such substantial gold watches will survive best if saved for dress wear or light duties, as hard wear will increasingly show in the bracelet and other parts. These big, gold Daytonas now seem very popular and you’ll find many, inferior examples for sale at higher prices — without the benefit of the Rolex service and new bezel that this one has.

Magnificent 18ct white gold Rolex GMT-Master II model 116719 BLRO (an acronym for BLeu / ROuge, the French for Blue / Red). Comes on Oysterlock 78209 bracelet with the desirable DARK BLUE dial * and red / blue “Pepsi” ceramic bezel insert. In beautiful condition, having spent much of its life in our pawnbroking safes. Has Rolex boxes, GMT-Master II booklet and green swing-tag. The watch also came with what appears to be a warranty card from Sao Paulo dated January 2020, but some unusual features make us doubt the card's authenticity and it is included with the sale only on that compromised basis. We do include with the watch a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. A NEW equivalent is now £35,600 — but often very hard to obtain !

As with the Daytona, it seems that a Rolex with complicated functions can prove exceptionally popular. This yellow gold model was launched only in 2012 but its brilliant condition suggests this one may be more recent. Comes with large Rolex boxes, Sky-Dweller booklet, red swing-tag and Rolex UK service card dated August 2023 when it had a full movement overhaul and new glass fitted at a cost of £1,268. This stunning piece is in brilliant condition (well, it’s probably not a watch for every day wear!) and it even has the case-back sticker still in place. Comes with HUGE Rolex presentation / jewellery box set, Datejust booklet, red chronometer swing-tag and original UK papers dated August 2006. From our archived records we have found this exact specification offered in the Rolex UK October 2008 price list (shortly before it appears to have been discontinued) at £45,510 …but prices for new watches have risen enormously since then.
