A previous owner also had a diamond-set bezel fitted elsewhere, although this part is custom-made and NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one already fitted like this there always seems to be a queue of buyers! Having a case number in the S31xxxx range, this will be a mid-1990s watch. At that time the plain Oyster bracelet was a standard option and the “T11″ clasp code on this one denotes November 1995 manufacture of the part, suggesting that it is original to the watch. Showing few signs of its age, it comes with Rolex boxes, increasingly-rare GMT-Master booklet printed in 1994 (see pages 14 and following), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The NEW equivalent is now £7,750 (if you could find one) but these earlier models have increasingly attracted a collector following of their own.
