A new, genuine Cartier strap and clasp-pin have just been fitted at a cost of £300! Showing only light signs of wear to the case and glass, it comes with a Cartier box, instruction book, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. Please note that (1) as a model with a push-crown and a strap this is NOT offered as a water-proof watch (2) such Cartiers are essentially very stylish DRESS watches; the automatic movements inside them are rarely perfect time-keepers and can seem noisy when the self-winding rotor turns (3) we would normally advise that anything between – 10 to + 15 seconds per day should be expected on these models, even after a service.

£4,599 Stock number: 52-04-014Stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400 with black / index baton dial having orange detail and “lightning” seconds hand, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. In lovely condition with boxes, Milgauss booklet, green swing-tag, UK warranty card from John Pass in Crewe dated May 2008 and a Rolex UK service card dated September 2014. The original Milgauss was the model 6541 introduced back in 1956; subsequent models remained in production until 1988, albeit for the most part in the form of the next-generation 1019 variant. It was designed as an especially anti-magnetic model for nuclear scientists near Rolex HQ in Switzerland but has since won desirability in its own right. This watch is one of the newer versions launched at Basel in 2007. Many clients love the Milgauss simply for being such a big watch, with its lovely, clear dial options and funky colour accents. This specific model now appears to be discontinued. The last NEW equivalent RRP was £5,650 but in October 2018 Rolex UK raised their prices by around a further 5%!

This circa-1969 watch appears to have been up-graded with a new Oyster 78350 bracelet fitted around 2005 and is in very pleasing condition, showing only small signs of its age. The Oysterdate is an entry-level model and it should be noted that (1) it needs to be manually wound each day, (2) in order to change the date one simply turns the main hands forwards or backwards past midnight and (3) we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. Comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet, numbered green swing-tag and UK papers from Mappin & Webb in Manchester dated September 2007. A new equivalent was last listed in Rolex UK's 2016 price list at £6,000 – but production has now ceased, arousing increasing interest in the model. Red detail to the dial text, seconds hand and date display are distinctive on the modern Turn-o-Graph. The watch is in fine condition but (as is common on this model) there is some superficial wear to the bezel detail. Please note that while it features a time-lapse bezel, the Turn-o-Graph remains essentially a dress watch. For more robust use we would recommend one of the Rolex Professional range, perhaps a Submariner.
