£6,999 Stock number: 52-18-004Fresh from Rolex UK Service! 36mm Rolex Datejust model 16018 in 18ct yellow gold with champagne / baton dial on Jubilee 8386 bracelet with concealed clasp. The main watch-head of this 1988 model is in excellent condition (and still in service stickers) after a £524 overhaul at Rolex UK, but the Jubilee bracelet was the “dressier” option and that part does show moderate wear, with minor bumps and distortion . We suggest that this watch should now properly be kept for dress wear. It comes with original 16018 box set, Datejust booklet and the Rolex UK service card dated August 2019. The last time a NEW equivalent appeared in Rolex’s price list, it was £21,400!

£12,999 Stock number: 52-19-0052019 service by Rolex UK! Highly desirable 16610 LV from 2009 with boxes, UK warranty card and more! Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner model 16610 T / LV with Mark V maxi dial and green “slim 4” / “thin 4” bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93250 bracelet. This is an M3xxxxx case-number watch in excellent condition with both boxes in delivery sleeve, Submariner booklet, red swing-tag, original UK warranty card from Aurum Group (Goldsmiths etc) dated September 2009 and a Rolex UK service card dated August 2019 (both cards explicitly confirming that it is an original 16610LV). Correctly, this version has a numbered inner rehaut. It recently enjoyed a full mechanical overhaul at Rolex UK costing £812, which also included a new bezel insert, glass and crown, though the service stickers have been removed. There is a fatter, new equivalent model made by Rolex, though usually not available without a huge premium now. The older models have been increasingly sought after since they were discontinued a few years ago. Stainless steel Rolex Date Submariner 16800, the “transitional” model with synthetic sapphire glass, matt black dial and quick-set 3035 calibre movement on Oyster Fliplock 93150 / VE bracelet with 593 end-links. This is a desirable model, especially when fitted with the early dial that does not have white metal surrounds to the hour indices. With a 6.3m case number this one dates from the early 1980s, right at the start of the model’s short production run. It appears that inter alia the hands and bezel insert have been replaced at service, their luminous material not sharing the patina of that on the dial. A very nice example of an interesting version about whose future value many will speculate, it comes with Rolex boxes (possibly later?), our own warranty card and the Rolex UK service card dated January 2019. The new equivalent is now £6,550 (if you can find one), but a watch like this has increasingly enjoyed its own market.

£3,499 Stock number: 80-17-00241mm stainless steel Limited Edition James Bond 50th Anniversary Omega Seamaster Professional 300m Co-Axial automatic bracelet watch, model 212.30.41.20.01.005. Note the red “50” on the bezel, the 007 logo tessellated across the black dial and the rifled gun-barrel design to the case back. This holds a small sapphire display window that reveals a rotating “bullet” design to the rotor centre, whose “JAMES BOND 50 YEARS” text rotates when the watch is moved. This 2507 calibre model comes with extravagant 007 / Omega box set, instruction book, UK warranty card from the Omega Boutique at the Trafford Centre dated December 2012, the chronometer / limited series / pictogram cards, the numbered Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the original Omega specification sheet. The inner box can be baffling at first, but a drawer opens on the right hand side when operated by a push-release mechanism. The watch shows only slight signs of wear but (as is common) this includes some visible marks in the anti-reflective coating of the glass. This model was made in only 11,007 examples and celebrated fifty years of James Bond in the cinema, “Dr. No” having been released in 1962. £2,499 Stock number: 52-15-007Bicolour Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 1601(3) from around 1970 with silver / baton “pie-pan” dial. This name reflects the dial profile, its chapter ring edge dropping away from the central surface. The early style of Jubilee bracelet with folded metal links is correct, though it has been fitted with a 62510H service clasp at some point after 1990. Originally this watch will have been fitted with the softer, acrylic glass but it appears more recently to have been fitted with a third party (non-Rolex) synthetic sapphire glass. Typically these are harder wearing than the originals, though a vintage purist might wish to revert. Because of its age, we offer it with only a ONE year warranty and ask you to note : (1) we no longer guarantee these older models to be water-resistant (2) this 1575 calibre model correctly has no “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, so the wearer must turn the hands through 24 hours to advance the date (3) the bracelet and dial both show signs of age and wear (4) while running well, there is slightly more noise from the movement rotor than you might expect from a modern watch.
