We would just comment that (as the diamonds in the bezel are channel-set) it would be sensible to treat this as a dress watch rather than subject it to hard wear. This 3035 calibre watch is in surprisingly nice condition for its age. It has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. It shows surprisingly little sign of wear to the bracelet, just a small bump on the underside of a link near the 12 o’clock end, where it cannot be seen once on the wrist, and we note that a generic glass (not by Rolex) has been fitted. Comes with large, brown “luggage-style” Rolex box, correct 1986 Day-Date booklet ( accessories which are themselves now quite valuable ! ), our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The nearest NEW equivalent is now £34,600 and good, pre-owned examples are difficult to find.
