This is a D96xxx case-number watch in excellent condition with both boxes, Submariner booklet, both swing-tags, original UK papers from Lyons Jewellers (Fraser Hart) in Croydon dated June 2006 and a Rolex UK service card dated May 2017. The papers, swing-tag and service card all specify that it is an original 16610LV. The bezel insert, glass and crown were all replaced in the 2017 service and remain in excellent condition. Correctly, this version has a plain, un-numbered inner rehaut. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such parts as this bezel on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one that is already fitted there always seems to be a queue of buyers! £2,499 Stock number: 12-59-086TO BE SOLD AS IT CAME TO US, without mechanical warranty : Gent's stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” model 145022-71 ST, circa 1971. Fitted with good length 1175 bracelet and the “DN90” bezel insert (there is a dot next to the 90 on the bezel insert and the word TACHMETRE is written in larger letters than on the DO90 insert). 861 calibre movement with 3161xxxx number, correctly in the range expected of this model. Original black, stepped / T SWISS MADE T dial in lovely condition, so much nicer than the less desirable service dial. We are not vintage Omega specialists and rather than try to restore it ourselves we would prefer to sell it directly to a collector who can then service and restore it sympathetically as they wish, so it will be SOLD AS SEEN. For what it is worth, the watch seems to be running steadily at a loss of 20 seconds per day without the chronograph and a dry vacuum test suggests it is not water resistant. We have set the price to reflect recent auction results for similarly unserviced and unrestored examples. Dating from around 1970, this watch is in very good condition for its age and appears to have had a new bracelet fitted some 12 years ago. A generic acrylic glass has been fitted more recently. These early models did not have a “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, so the hands have to be turned forward 24 hours to advance it when needed. Please note that the dial shows minor signs of age and we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. £1,999 Stock number: 12-14-012Lady's bicolour Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model 6917 (3) on Jubilee 62523 bracelet with champagne / baton dial. Comes with its original boxes, numbered green swing-tag and Rolex papers dated September 1983. Unusually, it has been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don't as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed, it modernises the watch and tests well for water-resistance. The watch shows some signs of its age, but for a buyer who will wear it sensibly offers great value – especially with its boxes and papers. Please note: it comes correctly with the Rolex 2035 calibre movement and as such does not have the “quick-set” feature, which would allow easier correction of the date at the end of a short month; instead one must simply advance or reverse the hands 24 hours to change the date.

This 2003 model has the “M” suffix, denoting the presence of the 3130 calibre movement. It is in very nice condition, with only light wear to the bezel insert. It comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, red swing-tag* and our own warranty card. The new, fatter, ceramic bezel version now has an RRP of £5,450 but these earlier models are proving very popular in their own right.
* Whether this watch should have a red swing tag is an interesting question. Such a tag normally denotes a chronometer-certified movement, but there is no chronometer text on the dial of the early 14060M series. However, the 3130 calibre movements in these models (replacing the 3000 calibres of the plain 14060) were reported to be chronometer-rated, even if for a time existing dials continued to be used which did not reflect that. In later production, dials were used which did explicitly celebrate the model's chronometer status. Two members of the Miltons watch team were managers of a Rolex main agent when these watches were sold new, and their recollection is that the 14060Ms did come with red swing-tags. We cannot be certain, but this one has a red tag so if you don't feel it should belong with the watch….have it on us anyway!
