This circa 1987 model is in very good condition for its age but please note that we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant. It comes with our own presentation box, warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. This model correctly has the 3035 calibre version of the “quick-set” facility for changing the date at the end of a short month, where the user turns the crown backwards in its mid-position to advance the date. The watch has also been fitted previously with a custom-made diamond-set bezel, NOT by Rolex. As loyal devotees to the Rolex brand we are not great fans of customised pieces and will not supply such parts on customer request, but when our pawnbroking departments are left with one already fitted like this there always seems to be a queue of buyers! Comes with Datejust booklet, UK papers from Watches of Switzerland dated June 1999 and a later Rolex box. It is in very pleasing condition, the bracelet showing only moderate signs of age / wear. The last time a NEW equivalent was listed in the Rolex UK price list (with just a plain gold, fluted bezel) it was £20,800…and prices have generally risen about 5% since then!

Stainless steel Rolex “Pepsi” GMT-Master: 3175-calibre model 16700 from around 1993 with black dial and blue / red bezel insert, on Oyster 78360 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, GMT-Master booklet, undated international papers and a Rolex UK service slip from April 2009. It would appear that the hands have been replaced at service, but the original SWISS-T<25 dial has been retained, now with beautifully mellowed tritium in the hour markers. There are a few, light signs of age and wear but this is a highly desirable model, extremely wearable and among the cheapest in the UK which still have their original papers.
The range of NEW GMT-Masters now starts from £8,850 but these older models have increasingly developed their own following in recent years. The halo effect of the almost-unobtainable new “Pepsi” 126710, which on the secondary market is currently selling for a great premium over RRP, should not be under-estimated.

£4,399 Stock number: 52-09-00736mm stainless steel and white metal Rolex Datejust TURN-O-GRAPH model 116264 on Oyster 72200 bracelet with grey-black / baton dial. Comes with Rolex boxes, Datejust booklet and what appear to be Japanese papers dated December 2005. A new equivalent was last listed in Rolex UK’s 2016 price list at £6,000 – but production has now stopped, arousing interest in the model. Red detail to the dial text, seconds hand and date display are distinctive on the modern Turn-o-Graph. The watch is in fine condition but (as is common on this model) there is some superficial wear to the bezel detail. Please note that while it features a time-lapse bezel, the Turn-o-Graph remains essentially a dress watch. For more robust purposes we would recommend one of the Rolex Professional range, perhaps a Submariner.

£6,799 Stock number: 52-09-020Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 with original black “SWISS – T < 25” dial on Oyster 78360 bracelet. The 16710 was available with different bezel options but this one has just been fitted with a “new old stock” version of its signature red / black insert, known as the “Coke” bezel by collectors. Having a case number in the S4xxxxx range, this will be a circa 1994 watch. At that time the plain Oyster bracelet was a standard option and the “S10” clasp code on this one denotes October 1994 manufacture, indicating that it is original to the watch. Showing a few signs of its age, it comes with its original GMT-Master booklet and numbered green swing-tag, Rolex boxes, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The cheapest NEW equivalent is now £7,150 but these earlier models have increasingly attracted a following of their own.
