This stunning piece is in brilliant condition (well, it’s probably not a watch for every day wear!) and it even has the case-back sticker still in place. Comes with HUGE Rolex presentation / jewellery box set, Datejust booklet, red chronometer swing-tag and original UK papers dated August 2006. From our archived records we have found this exact specification offered in the Rolex UK October 2008 price list (shortly before it appears to have been discontinued) at £45,510 …but prices for new watches have risen enormously since then. Comes on Oysterlock 78209 bracelet with the desirable DARK BLUE dial * and red / blue “Pepsi” ceramic bezel insert. In beautiful condition, having spent much of its life in our pawnbroking safes. Has Rolex boxes, GMT-Master II booklet and green swing-tag. The watch also came with what appears to be a warranty card from Sao Paulo dated January 2020, but some unusual features make us doubt the card's authenticity and it is included with the sale only on that compromised basis. A most impressive 18ct yellow gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116528 with stunning white mother of pearl / arabic numeral dial on Oysterlock 78498 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet / adjustment leaflet, original UK papers from April 2007, Rolex UK service card dated June 2020, red swing-tag and a new bezel-protector. Rolex UK have just carried out £2,120 of work including a movement overhaul, new glass, crown and bezel. The NEW equivalent watch with a plain dial is now £29,350 but an MoP dial like this would, when last available, have typically added another £1,500 or so to the price! This is a Z-series watch with numbered inner rehaut. A stunning piece with only moderate wear to the bracelet worthy of comment. We would recommend that such substantial gold watches will survive best if saved for dress wear or light duties, as hard wear will increasingly show in the bracelet and other parts. These big, gold Daytonas now seem very popular and you’ll find many, inferior examples for sale at higher prices — without the benefit of the Rolex service and new bezel that this one has.

£18,999 Stock number: 52-18-023Single-owner watch, of interest to collectors and fresh from Rolex service : an early, stainless steel Rolex “Zenith” Cosmograph DAYTONA with “inverted 6” dial! Stainless steel Cosmograph Daytona model 16520 with E49xxxx case number from approx 1991. Fitted with classic Oyster 78360 bracelet (as many early ones were) on 503 end-links, its “N4” clasp date code suggesting this is original to the watch. Has black / “inverted 6” dial (click through main picture for more images). In excellent condition with minimal signs of age to the dial / hands and a sensitively polished bezel. Comes with a period Rolex box-set and very rare, correct COSMOGRAPH Daytona booklet in English with print-code from 1990, depicting the earliest examples with “floating text” dial (which preceded this version). That booklet alone sells for hundreds of pounds! It also has a green document-holder, red swing-tag and two Rolex UK service slips: one from September 1998 and the other from December 2020, when it had a comprehensive overhaul costing £900. The Rolex service stickers and bezel protector are still in place! There is also a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked the watch with them (Rolex UK will also have checked it against their own records, before service). These early versions of the first automatic Daytona, with Zenith-based 4030 calibre movement, have proved particularly popular with a growing generation of collectors. While a Rolex UK service can make many watches look fantastic, this one also went unworn for about ten years. As the seller explained, he thought he had lost it for that long — only for it finally to turn up on top of the wardrobe, where he had put it for safety when decorating a decade before!

£18,499 Stock number: 52-30-021_OLDStainless steel Rolex Daytona with two Rolex UK service slips….and most unusually a genuine diamond dial, fitted approx 15 years ago! Stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116520 from approximately 2002, on Oysterlock 78490 bracelet. Unusually, soon after first sale the watch was fitted with a black / diamond dot dial that would typically be reserved for 18ct white gold models. Rolex themselves have been happy to accept this unusual specification, having twice now serviced the watch since it was swapped. This K28xxxx case number watch is in excellent condition, having most recently been serviced by Rolex UK in July 2019, though the bezel and bracelet show moderate signs of wear. It comes with genuine Rolex 116520 boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, the two year Rolex service warranty card dated July 2019 and an earlier one dated February 2007, both of which were carried out through us. We have also provided a certificate from the ALR Watch Register, confirming that we checked it with them. The NEW ceramic bezel models now have an RRP of £10,500 but waiting lists are generally closed and that model is commonly being sold on the secondary market for over £24,000 at the time of writing. This has made the previous model 116520 an extremely attractive purchase and it remains in its own right one of the most sought after models in the range. We’ve never seen another steel Daytona 116520 with a diamond dial added like this, but can only speculate whether the first owner wanted it to look like a white gold model — or just fancied some sparkle! This colour dial would normally be matched with champagne-colour day & date display discs, though some find these white ones easier to read. This eye-catching watch is in very good condition with only moderate wear to the bracelet. It comes with Rolex Day-Date boxes, Day-Date booklet, UK papers from Mappin & Webb at T4 Heathrow dated May 1999 and a Rolex UK service card dated January 2015. This series of Day-Date with its 3155 calibre movements was the first to feature the double quick-set feature for easy, independent alteration of the Day and Date. £15,999 Stock number: 62-53-002Collectible “STICK dial / Pepsi” GMT-Master II, first sold new in 2006 by one of our own Watch Team, when he was the manager at a Rolex main agent! Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 T with black “SWISS MADE” dial, perfect blue / red bezel insert and Oysterlock 78790A bracelet. This superb D907xxx case-number watch with 3185 calibre movement is from the last few years of production and comes with Rolex boxes, GMT-Master booklet, both swing-tags and UK papers from Pyke & Sons in Birkenhead dated July 2006. The green swing-tag denotes that it is a 16710BLRO, which means it had a red and blue bezel from new when it left the Rolex factory. In excellent condition – it still even has the aged delivery sticker on its case-back! Please note that it has the desirable “stick” dial, where the number “II” after GMT-Master is denoted by two straight lines rather than a serif-ed or roman style of numeral. A close-up of that detail may be viewed by clicking through the main picture. The “stick” dials have been a cause of much speculation, but we have been able conclusively to dismiss the connection between such dials and the presence of 3185 / 3186 calibres respectively. The fatter, NEW equivalent GMT-Master is now £8,400 (if only you could buy one at RRP!) but this earlier, less bulky and arguably more interesting model has an army of followers who have chased prices ever higher since it was discontinued. £15,499 Stock number: 52-33-0152004 / F-case number “Anniversary” Rolex Submariner Date model 16610 LV, with Mark 1 dial and FLAT FOUR* bezel insert! Still in service stickers with box & original papers etc! This stainless steel watch is an F61xxxx case-number example in excellent condition with both boxes (outer stickered “16610”), both “Your Oyster” and “Rolex Submariner” booklets, both swing-tags (the green specifying “16610LV”), original Rolex papers from Dubai dated October 2004, Rolex calendar card 2005/2006, novelty anchor, bezel protector, the Rolex UK service card dated August 2018 and original invoice for £981.35 (both also specifying that it is a 16610LV). The dial may be identified as the Mark 1 most easily by looking at the wide “SWISS MADE” text at 6 o’clock. The bezel insert, glass and crown were all replaced at service and the watch has barely been worn since then — it still bears the service stickers to case sides! Correctly, this version has a plain, un-numbered inner rehaut. The new equivalent has just increased to £7,650 but these older models have been increasingly sought after since they were discontinued some years ago. We first offered the watch in 2018 and it has been in a private hands since then, barely being worn since Rolex service. Please ask one of the Rolex-trained specialists in the Miltons watch team to discuss this watch with you. * The so-called “Flat Four” (or “Fat Four”) bezel inserts are identified by looking closely at the figure “4” in “40” on the bezel insert. If the shape of the green area enclosed by the body of the four has a flat top, as here, then it is a “Flat Four.” If instead it comes to a point, creating a trianglular shape inside the “4,” then it is a “Thin Four” insert. Do not confuse the important, internal shape with the external top-line of the figure “4” itself, as the latter is flat in all versions. The “Flat Four” inserts have become increasingly sought after by collectors, having apparently been produced for only a short time and fitted to the earliest examples of this model, specifically Y to F case number watches circa 2004. If owners lost or damaged one of those original inserts, it would previously as a matter of routine have been replaced with a “Thin Four” insert. What is extraordinary here is that the “Flat Four” insert was supplied and fitted by Rolex UK in 2018, long after it is thought such inserts had all been used up. Close examination shows that this may be a new version of the “Flat Four,” marginally different in the subtlest of ways from the early ones. Is it a newly-released service part? If so, will it be fitted to all 16610LVs, or only those early examples like this for which a “Flat Four” would be correct? Not wishing simply to sell such a desirable piece without disclosure or comment about this unusual part, I started discussions on two specialist watch fora, both of which you can read with single clicks here: 2018 “Flat Four” discussion on tz-uk and here: similar discussion on rolexforums. At the time of writing it still seems no one is certain what to make of it. Is it an old part that we were just lucky to be given? Is it a part that they can release to owners of correct, early LVs that would have had a “Flat Four?” Is it instead a new, standard part that will be fitted to all 16610 LVs from now? What effect will that have on values, for both early ones that should have such an insert and later watches which correctly did not? We cannot know, but invite potential purchasers to follow as much due diligence as we have. Reflecting the uncertainty about Rolex and this hitherto-unseen insert, we are pricing the watch for a little less than if it had one of the circa-2004 originals.
