£6,499 Stock number: 52-43-018Stainless steel 40mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss model 116400GV with black / orange-accent dial, lightning bolt seconds hand and green-tinted synthetic sapphire glass, on Oyster 72400 bracelet. This V76xxxx case-number watch from around 2010 is in wonderful condition with Rolex boxes, Milgauss booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range over a decade ago but remain very popular. Like many of the “Professional” series of Rolex models in stainless steel, this can be a very hard watch to find at main agents. The NEW RRP is now £6,650 – but demand is such that a new watch can attract an immediate premium.

£9,999 Stock number: 82-31-007Collector's set – a highly desirable model and look what comes with it! Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II “Coke” model 16710 with black “SWISS MADE” / luminova dial on a NEW Jubilee 62510 bracelet. The 16710 was available with different bezel options but this one has just been fitted with a “new old stock” version of its signature red / black insert, known as the “Coke” bezel by collectors. The original Jubilee bracelet was a little tired and so we have purchased and fitted a brand new, £950 GMT-specific 62510 through a Rolex main agent; this version (still in factory stickers) has correct “502 T” end links and “50” on the penultimate links. The watch is in truly fine condition and comes with its original 16710 boxes, GMT-Master booklet, UK papers from Bracher & Sydenham in Reading dated April 1992 and the numbered green swing-tag. It also has Rolex UK service slips dated August 2002, November 2008 and November 2013, reflecting the single owner's fastidious care in servicing and replacing parts as needed. The NEW equivalent is now £7,750 but these earlier models have increasingly attracted a following of their own. It is interesting that the current model GMT-Masters have moved to Jubilee bracelets, where traditionally these were an added-cost option — rarely chosen, as considered by many to be rather more “dressy” than the classically sporty Oyster variants. £18,499 Stock number: 52-30-021_OLDStainless steel Rolex Daytona with two Rolex UK service slips….and most unusually a genuine diamond dial, fitted approx 15 years ago! Stainless steel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116520 from approximately 2002, on Oysterlock 78490 bracelet. Unusually, soon after first sale the watch was fitted with a black / diamond dot dial that would typically be reserved for 18ct white gold models. Rolex themselves have been happy to accept this unusual specification, having twice now serviced the watch since it was swapped. This K28xxxx case number watch is in excellent condition, having most recently been serviced by Rolex UK in July 2019, though the bezel and bracelet show moderate signs of wear. It comes with genuine Rolex 116520 boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet, the two year Rolex service warranty card dated July 2019 and an earlier one dated February 2007, both of which were carried out through us. We have also provided a certificate from the ALR Watch Register, confirming that we checked it with them. The NEW ceramic bezel models now have an RRP of £10,500 but waiting lists are generally closed and that model is commonly being sold on the secondary market for over £24,000 at the time of writing. This has made the previous model 116520 an extremely attractive purchase and it remains in its own right one of the most sought after models in the range. We’ve never seen another steel Daytona 116520 with a diamond dial added like this, but can only speculate whether the first owner wanted it to look like a white gold model — or just fancied some sparkle! For those trying to work out what the diamond dial may be worth, it is a matter of simple mathematics to conclude that at the time of writing a diamond dial adds a £1,600 premium to the new RRP of those white gold Daytonas where it is an option.

This 1980s model still has its original, brown box, the increasingly rare Day-Date booklet, numbered green swing-tag and punched Rolex papers — undated and still in their original plastic wallet! It is in excellent condition for its age with few signs of wear to the bracelet. A most impressive 18ct yellow gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 116528 with stunning white mother of pearl / arabic numeral dial on Oysterlock 78498 bracelet. Comes with Rolex boxes, Cosmograph Daytona booklet / adjustment leaflet, original UK papers from April 2007, Rolex UK service card dated June 2020, red swing-tag and a new bezel-protector. Rolex UK have just carried out £2,120 of work including a movement overhaul, new glass, crown and bezel. The NEW equivalent watch with a plain dial is now £29,350 but an MoP dial like this would, when last available, have typically added another £1,500 or so to the price! This is a Z-series watch with numbered inner rehaut. A stunning piece with only moderate wear to the bracelet worthy of comment. We would recommend that such substantial gold watches will survive best if saved for dress wear or light duties, as hard wear will increasingly show in the bracelet and other parts. These big, gold Daytonas now seem very popular and you’ll find many, inferior examples for sale at higher prices — without the benefit of the Rolex service and new bezel that this one has.

£1,699 Stock number: 72-31-004Vintage : approx 1958-1960 ! Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision model 6552 in stainless steel with original silver / index dial. This 1030 calibre model has a case-back stamped in the second quarter of 1958, consistent with its 423xxx case number, but typically these could be found on watches sold any time around 1960. We ask you to note that : (1) the dial shows some staining / marks which reflect its age (2) we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant and (3) the ostrich leather strap and and base-metal pin-buckle are both generic parts, NOT made by Rolex. This is a lovely example of the revised 41mm model that was introduced in the last ten years, coming with both boxes, Datejust booklet, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. It is in excellent condition with only superficial wear to the edge of the glass. We first sold this watch some years ago with a silver / index baton dial, but before trading it back in with us the owner had this genuine Rolex “Wimbledon” dial fitted by a third party watchmaker. £1,999 Stock number: 52-21-008Lady’s bicolour Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 6917 (3) with white / roman numeral dial. This early 1980s watch was originally supplied on a Jubilee bracelet, but like many its bracelet had reached the end of its life and it is now offered on a brown, leather strap with base-metal pin-buckle that is a generic part, NOT made by Rolex. It has also been fitted with a synthetic sapphire glass that is not by Rolex, to update the older and more easily marked acrylic glass. We don’t as a rule approve of such work, but this appears to have been very well executed and modernises the watch. Comes with modern Rolex box, our own warranty card and a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them. The watch shows some signs of its age and we would no longer guarantee this model to be water resistant, but for a buyer who will wear it sensibly it offers great value. Please note: it comes correctly with the Rolex 2035 calibre movement and as such does not have the “quick-set” feature, which would allow easier correction of the date at the end of a short month; instead one must simply advance or reverse the hands 24 hours to change the date.

Stainless steel Rolex non-date Submariner model 14060M with black dial and bezel insert on Oyster Fliplock 93150 bracelet. This V- case number watch with four-line “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” text and numbered inner rehaut is one of the later examples of what has in recent years become an extremely desirable model. Earlier versions did not feature the additional SCOC text. It is in beautiful condition and comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, both swing-tags, UK warranty card from David M. Robinson dated July 2009 and Rolex UK service card dated March 2020. We did not in fact receive the watch back from them until three months later, after the COVID-19 lockdown! It enjoyed over £1,300-worth of work including full service, new bezel, dial, hands, crown and glass. The new, fatter, ceramic bezel version now has an RRP of £6,300 but it seems that the market increasingly appreciates the proportions and value of the previous generation of Rolex sports models, like our example. This 1520 calibre model was common in stainless steel, but a small number were made in gold. We ask you to note that : (1) the dial and hands show some signs of age / wear / marks (2) we no longer guarantee these older, plastic glass models to be water-resistant (3) the gold case has typically worn with age and there are signs of repair / rebuilding to some lug-ends, where the gold is a slightly different colour and (4) the ostrich leather strap and and base-metal pin-buckle are both generic parts, NOT made by Rolex. The watch is priced very reasonably to reflect these points. Comes with Rolex boxes, Submariner booklet, a certificate from the ALR Watch Register confirming that we checked it with them and a Rolex UK service slip dated May 2008. At that time the watch appears to have had a massive rebuild through Rolex UK: it was given a replacement case, bracelet parts, possibly the dial and more besides. We understand that the original watch was UK-supplied at Mappin & Webb in March 1997. It now shows only modest signs of wear. Stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II model 16710 T with black “SWISS MADE” dial and so-called “Pepsi” red / blue bezel insert on Oysterlock 78790A bracelet. This lovely 3185-calibre model has original boxes, GMT-Master booklet, both swing-tags* and UK papers from Peers Jewellers in Blackpool dated July 2004. It is in superb condition – even the 16710 sticker is still in place on the case-back! The market for NEW steel GMT-Masters has now gone mad but in any event these slightly slimmer, previous-generation models have in the last couple of years enjoyed a very strong market that has been all their own.
