Stainless steel Rolex Milgauss model 116400 with white / orange baton dial on Oyster 72400 bracelet. Has boxes, Milgauss booklet, both swing-tags and UK warranty card from Fraser Hart dated January 2008. The highly anti-magnetic Milgauss models were re-introduced into the Rolex range some years ago, though many clients bought them simply for their large size, striking looks (check out that lightning strike seconds hand!) and clear dials. The last NEW RRP of this model was £5,650 but today only the “trippy” GV versions are available – at £6,050. Many will be watching to see if this and the similar black dial variant become yet more classic, desirable and discontinued Rolex, being slightly unusual and never sold in massive numbers.

£5,199 Stock number: 72-45-00936mm bicolour Rolex Datejust model 16233 with silver / diamond dot dial, now fitted with a NEW, stainless steel Rolex bracelet (still in stickers from the factory). The bicolour 62523 reference Jubilee bracelets that were originally fitted on these models often suffered if worn hard, and this watch’s has been replaced with a NEW, genuine, all-steel Rolex Jubilee 62510 bracelet. Often a steel bracelet is retro-fitted because the cost of replacing the old, bicolour one like-for-like is very expensive. The diamond dial is correct for the model but appears to be from a slightly earlier period. It is another, later addition to this watch. Priced to reflect its altered specification, this is an eye-catching Datejust coming with both boxes, Your Oyster booklet, international Rolex papers from Finland dated September 1999 and a Rolex UK service slip dated June 2014. Gent's 18ct yellow gold and diamond Rolex Cellini mechanical (i.e. requiring daily manual winding) dress watch model 4630/8 on integral fine Milanese / ribbon-style bracelet with impressive diamond bezel and 1601 calibre Rolex movement. This watch is in exceptional condition, coming with original Cellini box-set (the cardboard outer carton is very tatty and with signs of some repair, but the main box is splendid), Cellini booklet, hand-written Rolex papers from David M. Robinson dated 20th May 1988 in original green plastic wallet and a valuation from DMR dated just days later. This slim, wind-up watch (not an Oyster model) was intended for dress wear and is not water-proof. We certainly wouldn't recommend it for everyday wear. It now seems to epitomise the flamboyant style of the 1980s, but further value here lies also in its accessories and the exceptional condition. The bracelet length remains that for a large wrist. While it has three positions for minor adjustment within the double-leaf clasp, we will NOT otherwise adjust the size of the bracelet. This watch could be considered by a collector or someone with a suitably large wrist who might treasure and wear it for a few very special occasions every year. This model was last shown in UK price lists with an RRP of £6,400…but both demand and prices have risen significantly since then. If a new equivalent were available with this dial today, it is possible to calculate an approximate new price of £7,600.
